Were at LLMD today to get daughter's piccline pulled. We both are relieved and will try again later.
Anyway my son in waiting room met a couple today in the dr office who happen to live in our small town. 5 minutes away. The LLMD is a good 2hrs from our house.
I have been REALLY tired with all this piccline drama long drives to dr. and have prayed- I am soo tired, please send some kind of relief.
The wife is pretty sick and just now getting adequate treatment. They are at the very beginning of the journey...I hope we can encourage them as my head is finally above water.
Anyway- The husband says, "I have my own plane and we flew down here today. Maybe we can coordinate our appts and all go together."
God so often provides strange but simple solutions.
Does one offer to chip in for gas when planepooling?

The offer would probably be appreciated as would sandwiches, drinks, etc for the trip. If the wife is sick it's not likely she's doing a lot of cooking etc.
Worthless tests & labs, a dangerous vaccine, insurance companies refuse to pay, undertreatment the norm, all about money. MO. Posts: 281 | From CT | Registered: Oct 2005

Wow, you were in the right place at the right time!
Yes, I would offer but the suggestion on food, etc. sounded good too!
May I make a suggestion Char? Edit/pencil icon your topic line by adding "planepooling" to what you have there. Then it is SPECIFIC what the post is about. We all just do not have the time to read all; so we pick & chose. Thank you.

Call me the one to throw cold water on the party here but I wouldn't go gettin' in no small plane with NO ONE.
(Ex-EMT, saw some up close and personal.)
(Local attorney friend just killed in small plane crash.)
(Big planes: Yes. Small planes, NO thank you.)
All that said, I'm sure it'll be fine, I'm just a weenie...

Dear Betty,
I will try to get in and change topic line.
I am still learning how to navigate here.
Also, I will keep your advice in mind as far as being more specific on topic line.
I know I have been posting a lot with our struggles lately and it maybe is a lot for people.

Susan, great job editing your post to the subject you talked about!!
Yes, it does take time to get to know how to use the board to your advantage. When I see someone struggling, I try to offer suggestions or personal experiences to help them/us. You will find this board very carying, but all our time we feel well is limited.
Post away about your struggles; we are/have walked in your shoes & can share experiences with you.
You might use the search button 1st for you subject. Most areas have been covered many times with great answers. Good luck & welcome here Susan.
