Hi,
I'm new here, & I had few questions for you all.

I was dignosed in July of 2005. Have been sick for 6 1/2 yrs.

This is a hell of a disease,& all that goes on with it. At least I have what seems to be a great LLMD.

Also a very supportive husband. {although I worry about being a burden to him.}

Two wonderful kids. my 7 year old is a great help bless his little heart.

My two year old is showing some lyme symptoms. Complains of knees hurting and body aching especially when its cloudy out.

My question are as follows:
1. How do symptoms show up in kids from lyme moms?

2. Do any of you have experience with Rife machines & what have your results been?

3. What is the best climate for Lymies?

4. What are some suggestions for detox baths when herxing? Epsom salts, sea salts ect. ?

5. What are your experiences with co-infections? I also have babesiosis, and possibly Bartinella.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
Love & [kiss]

Welcome Yam to the board.

In future, please have short paragraphs of 6-8 lines & DOUBLE space in between for us neuro lymies who can't/comprehend as is. Thanks for helping us all out.

Yemaya, I see you edited your post, so I'll delete this duplicated info.

My pc won't let me into my word processing so I cn copy/paste info here for you. Hopefully, others will join in on giving you ino.

In fact, copy/paste this to MEDICAL page and then edit/PENCIL icon to DELETE yours/mine AFTER posting on medical first.

If you do, please don't show your original post; show mine with it broken up so others with mind problems don't have to contend with it as is.

Well when my son was two he had speech delays, and was very irritable. Night sweats were a big problem, and very red ears.

Complaining of knees hurting, and crying tamtrums. He also has vision and hearing problems.

Overall I'd say he was miserable. I would say trust your mother's intuition and if you think it is lyme (and you have it so you know more than you think) get it checked out.

My son communicated to me through art and is quite an artist today. He drew what hurt and was very interested in his body.

His artwork was very telling even at two, it became his language until the antibiotics did their magic and my son came out of the abyss.

My son also has light sensitivity and actually likes cloudy days now. The aches and pains your two year old has on cloudy days could be from the changes in the weather which could be lyme related.

As for the weather I do better when it is not hot and so does my son. We were in Florida at the end of May and we both almost lost it after two days, then it rained alot and we were in heaven.

i gave my last child, my daughter lyme thru the placenta and 3 yrs of breast milk. her symptoms were gi at first-refused to wear anything with waste band-then fatigue-could not get up to go to school-also whiney, no stamina, many complaints. very different from my son who was bitten multiple times. he would be fine-get bit-go down on the couch -start abx and be up in 3 days. he was acute-and responded to treatment. she had vague-lingering symptotms and required a year of abx and a year of fighting yeast to be well enough to go into denial. by then she was a teenager - science major being told not to take abx in science classes and she chose to listen to the teachers instead of the docs-this has contuiued thru college-and her symptoms now are so clear to me-alot of hormonal stuff-pms-hearing sensitivity, throat problems, hypo glycemia, passing out when she stands up(theres a name for this but i forget it-her teachers tell her if she drinks juice this will stop and she believes them)---so my advice is get your child to dr jones or have your doc consult with dr jones and deal with it while you are in control-as they get older and the disease is more entrenched it is harder

also you said you have a good llmd-but i wonder because of the questions you askk-he should kwow if you have babs and if you do treat it first-also doxy should take care of erlichia and then you don't worry about it...please make sure you are really with a good llmd...i think there are more and more out there "free-lancing"

do you have a copy of dr B's guidelines>?

have you read ilads basic stuff? take care

Ipkayak,

Thank you for your feed back.

RE; The Babs My llmd is an internist. He also has Lymes himself. He definitely believes I have Babs just from the symptoms alone.

I haven't gotten the test {not that it would be much help} done yet, because of finances.

My insurance is giving me a hard time about paying for certain tests & meds. Not that the insurance will cover much anyway.

I beginning to think that sending tests out Igenx, & labs like that is the better way to go. Yet they don't take insurance.

I have complete faith in my Doc. I' ve been on Doxy { two rounds }, Amoxcillin for 3 mo.

Wich he finally had to take me off of. It was making me worse, not just herx worse.

He has me on a numerous number of supplements to help support my body, while I was taking all that toxic hell.

So I am now waiting for my rife machine and I plan on trying to go that route for awhile.

As far as the Babs is concerned he has recently started me on Artemisinin. We wlii see how that goes.

Love & [kiss]

Thanks for the concern.

You might want to do a search of lymenet archives and elsewhere on congenital lyme. It does happen that some infected mothers pass lyme on to their babies.

Lyme is a spirochetal disease like syphilis, which is well known to be passed this way.

It is interesting that both congenital lyme and syphilis can produce tooth signs, called Hutchinson's teeth. I am including below a link to an illustration of this, is a notching of the front teeth. However, it is not clear to me whether this would show up in baby teeth or not until permanent teeth. Anyway, it is not apparent in all lyme congenital cases.
