I was on ProVigil for 3 years because I kept complaining to my doc's about always being sleepy, yawny, and generally not feeling like my brain ever completely woke up. Well, I changed insurance companies and got denied coverage for the drug. I am jumping through hoops with a sleep doctor/neurologist (good guy) doing sleep study, bloodwork, trying sample meds...in an effort to get a diagnosis and then either be fixed or treated. He put me on REQUIP and it was sheer hell. I may jerk and twitch at night and even wake myself up screaming, but I had every side effect listed on the package....lasted 10 days on it out of just being stubborn, but had to stop. I have 2 theories. I find number one jto be the most sensible. I have been off antibiotics for almost 3 years. 1. the Lyme disease caused some CNS damage that triggered the daytime sleepiness problem. 2. it is caused by another possibly active disease process......
