Rene, my deepest, heartfelt sympathies to you. I have not lost a child.

I did post a bunch of sympathy poems. They can be found under "TREEPATROL'S" NEWBIE LINKS at the very bottom of his last page. Hope you may find some to comfort you.

Rene -

I can't tell you how much my heart goes out to you.

I can't imagine how you are feeling - I don't WANT to imagine it -- it's a parent's worst fear.

I hope you find the support you need here - or elsewhere.

But you know there truly are no words that will take away the pain you are feeling. This is the type of pain that only God can help ease.

I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers.

Blessings,

I'm surprised there haven't been more responses to this.

I mean every month when I return to Compassionate Friends Meetings there is always someone new- and i think to myself- DARN-you mean children are still dying?

This website has such a large audience I would think there would be more grieving parents on board.

Perhaps for some it is just too hard to acknowledge.

For myself I am still trying to sort out what is what- and grief acts just like a co-infection in many ways.

I do not wish to be on either journey alone without walking beside those that have walked a mile in there own mocassins, too.

Sending you a thousand fireflies to light the night.

Love, Carol

Sometimes people don't open the thread. I missed it this morning too. [wasn't here yesterday]

Rene...I'm VERY sorry for your loss. Can you share more. We're all assuming you mean your OWN loss, not the loss of a friend's child???

I'll be praying for you, Rene. [group hug]

I need to clarify my original post. My daughter did not die from complications of lyme disease. She was killed in an automobile accident on April 21,2006. It is I who am suffering from lyme, bartonella, babesia, and tularemia. I was looking for any parents on this board who might have lost a child while they themselves were battling lyme. Thanks so much for all the responses, you have all been great.

Rene

Thanks for explaining, Rene. I was wondering what happened. I'm so sorry for your loss. How old was your daughter?

Have you been in treatment for a long time? I hope you are getting good care and that you are taking care of your emotional needs as well.

don't be afraid to seek counseling or to join a grief support group.

Rene, thanks so much for explaining more. How tragic losing her lately & fighting this lyme fight.

I second Tutu's suggestion of a bereavement support group; I've been there twice; each time gained a lot out of recent family members death.

Glad you had such a great response of those reaching out to you; lymenet members are the best in the world.
