Hey all! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a great herbal book that references:

cleansing,detoxing
anti parasitic
anti bacterial
contraindications..etc

Of course I am aware of Healing Lyme.
Anyone use the Herbal PDR?

Thank you!

Dr. John Chrisyopher's

'School of Natural Healing' has it all.

I agree with much of what he writes, except he wan't fosuced enough on major parasite issues, IMO. However, maybe that's because the balance achieved overall makes massive problems not so massive.
He does have anti-parasitic formulas in the book.
Still, it's an herbalist's Bible.

It tells you how to make all your own stuff..and identify the plants in the wild --
tho some formulas can be bought online in various places.

I like having the hard copy text, but they also have it on CD-Rom if you prefer that.

The other good books I have on what you mention are Ayurvedic medicine/food books.

Very effective, and based on your body type.

I'm a Pitta type - turns out what I thought was bad is actually good for me, and vice versa.

I feel better already eating the Ayurvedic way, cooking with the herbs right for me -- and small changes to lifestyle and timing/sleep ect - feeling effects in just a short while...so I am going to stick with this a while and Christopher (kidney, bowel, and other formulas) for now.

I recently learned yet again that a hard hitting herbal blast/detox did not turn out well as my body could not eliminate what was moved.
Better to make it a lifestyle with periodic cleanses or do it with your food and drink/teas.

Let your food be your medicine. Why not? It's yummy.
