Note: 6/27/06 - PLEASE SEE THE LAST POST IN THIS THREAD FOR THE RESULTS OF THE PAGEANT.
Tomorrow, Wed., June 21st, through Saturday, June 24th, are the days during which our own 'missextreme", Charis, will be competing in the Miss South Dakota Pageant with Lyme disease awareness as her platform.
By going to the following website you can send her an e-mail to be delivered on one of the days during the competition. Let's flood her with encouragement and thanks as she represents us all.
I trust she is in bed early tonight, getting her beauty sleep, and will not see this. Receiving LOTS of e-mails from her Lyme friends will be a real surprise.

Thanks to you all for responding to my request. I am hopeful that others will do this so that she will receive e-mails morning, noon, and night during all four days of the competition.
When I last spoke with her, she was fearful that Lyme might rob her of the stamina that she needs to sustain her through all the days of the competition, so I think that the e-mails will help to cheer her on.

I contacted her and sent an email supporting her and giving her permission to utilize the www.lymeleague.com web site to help promote lyme disease. Also asked to send her a copy of "The Singing Forest, A Journey Through Lyme Disease" that I wrote. Hopefully she will WIN!!!!
Go Charis!!

Charis, CONGRATS for putting forth your best efforts and representing ALL OF US LYMIES with your platform. We could NOT BE MORE PROUD OF YOU Chris! We all enjoyed giving you lyme info to share with the public.
Later, please post about YOUR experiences and how did you hold up being sick also?
