"Betty,
I will forward your email to my niece's husband who works for one of Spielberg's companies, Dreamworks. Not sure if he can get it to Mr. Spielberg, but it won't hurt to ask. Keith"

I've been working the last hour plus on my letter to Steven Spielberg with links to Dr. Jones' case, the lyme movie being made, and the CHRONIC LYME RESEARCH CENTER IN COLUMBIA making him aware of these, and if he by chance would consider donating to these funding projects.

I need to hear back from someone first before I put it in final and forward to my connection...

Hmm. I hadn't considered Steven Spielberg. That just might open some doors. Good for you.

"Betty- contacting Steven Speilburg!!! Do any of you have contacts in the entertainment industry? I bet we have folks that can write letters and call and also some that are too sick for
that but can make good suggestions as who to try and how.

fyi, my lengthy email to Steven Speilberg was just sent about:

Dr. Jones' defense fund;
Under our Skin lyme documentary;
and opening the doors of COLUMBIA'S 1ST CHRONIC LYME RESEARCH CENTER, NYC....

Nice job Betty. I'll be praying something good happens. I wrote two letters today to a local newspaper and to a magazine, but I just feel so hopeless about all this, its just so depressing.

Tincup, thank you so much; coming from the "pro" .. can you see my head swell like that group of people standing together yere? [group hug] [kiss]

On Char's GENERAL POST on activism ideas, I posted earlier for a lyme patient/PARENT of a lyme child born w/lyme to accept my challenge & wrie Dear Abby for funding for Dr. Jones' so he may continue treating/healing lyme children.

$200,000 left to OPEN THE DOORS o Columbi University"s chronic lyme research cener!

What philanthropist doesn't read Dear Abby and the funnies?

Wouldn't hurt to try. I'll pass on that projject sincewe don't h a child with lyme disese.

I know PJ woud write too; but the request needs to be short, complete, and succinct!

OK

Tell me who to write to and where and what.

I'll make it short. No more 6 pagers. Just a bit of soul dumping on that last one.

betty I emailed you 'bout Sen. Harkin

Many hugs for everyone's efforts and continued support

PJ and others,

Here is Dear Abby's online site form letter you use to send her an email... [Big Grin]

PJ, I didn't see a word limit, but I would recommend 2 pages in length for the NEWSPAPER . They do NOT print long letters. [group hug] [kiss]

PJ, I'd be happy to read your email PRIOR to sending it to Abby so the same thoughts aren't repeated in it for the greatest impact to the "normal" reader who knows nothing about lyme, and why should they donate money for us lymies! You've got my home email... Bettyg
