Seems like I only reach out and post when doom and gloom surrounds me and my family. This time I thought I'd post some happy news -- my 9-year-old son and I are taking a 2 week vacation to Arizona. We're visiting one of my dearest friends and I haven't seen her for 2 years. We have plans to do nothing but swim and lay around her pool. It sure will be nice to get away from home for a while! I feel a little bad leaving hubby behind but it will be a nice break for him, too.
P.S. We are doing awesome on the salt/c protocol. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as possible!

I'm glad you are getting away...something new to look at is always a welcome break.
I'm chuckling, however, as you know I'm in AZ. Don't laugh when you see it is still 100 degrees at 10pm!
But, the sky is very clear and the most fun is to float in the pool with all the lights out and watch the stars. Occasionally, you can see the space station go across the sky.
Please private message me, and let me know how you are doing here.

Thanks you guys! We're counting down and have only 5 days left until we leave.
I've already got sunscreen packed and will tuck some long-sleeved t-shirts in the suitcase for the little guy. I've already got a good tan so I'm not too worried about burning. Yes, I'll probably come home with new wrinkles on top of my old wrinkles!
I'm actually looking forward to the hot, dry weather. I do much better in the heat, but it's so humid here in Almost Heaven that it makes me wilt.
I'll check in when we return.
Take care!

Well, I hope you are back home in your cooler climes. It's not yet noon here and it's 113!!! My bet is a 120 day.
What's that bubbling sound? Oh, it's the pool on a slow boil!
