Hi folks,
Good news. NYS Senator Charles Schumer held a news
conference in Long Island to support Lyme disease bill
S.1479 and its House companion bill H.R. 3427, and to
raise Lyme awareness.

Pat Smith of the Lyme Disease Association and patient
advocates Diane Leary and Eva Haughie spoke at the
press conference.

The press conference was covered by Channels 2, 4 and
12. (Channel 12, apparently, is public TV.) Also,
CBS radio covered the press conference.

This is the second press conference that Senator
Schumer has held for Lyme disease.

Hey Ellen!

I saw the channel 2 report, and FINALLY somoeone put forth HOW AWFUL this disease is! Not only Sen. Schumer (I just e-mailed him a thank you and bless you message), but the channel 2 Doctor (forget his name) actually said HOW AWFUL THIS DARNED DISEASE IS!! Maybe I'll e-mail him, next!

Do you know where on LI they were? I wish I'd known, I would have gone out there!
