Hey everybody,

"Blackbirdsings" who joined us several months ago really needs our encouragement. She is a talented young woman-an actress you may have seen on TV yourself.

She got diagnosed with lyme and had piccline inserted. The piccline had to be pulled because she had a 2.5 inch blood clot near here heart!

She was in the hospital, but now is at home.

Her doctors, including Dr. J Charlotte agree that she has some undiscovered condition that is affecting her health along with the lyme.

Her lyme treatment is suspended for now as her immune system is not functioning well. She is in constant pain. Very bad fatigue.

She is being referred to an out of state center to try to find out why she is so ill.

Blackbird is not up to posting; but she reads here daily.

Please pray for her to get some answers and relief!

Char

[hi] to Blackbirdsings.

I was at my LLMD's today and she asked why I had not filled in all of my daily log-and I had to answer her because some days just all blend into each other. Feels like there is no beginning and no end.

I am sorry you are feeling so poorly. I want to say "I know why the BlackbirdSings-on her darkest day she believes in Spring!"

I truly hope they are able to get to the bottom of what sickens you. I remember a moment of despair, before I was diagnosed with Lyme, sitting in my therapist's office , crying, and saying "I just know there's something REALLY wrong with me-but I don't know what."

Even now, with knowing , I still wear a CD headset that pipes Christian Praise music into my brain for most of the day. My heart goes out to you. I will pray for you.

Love,
Carol

Katherine, my online friend; I am saddened again to learn you still are not well and about that blood clot being so close to your heart.

You have and will continue to be in my thoughts & prayers. Glad you are still able to read even though you do not have the energy to respond.

You and iceskater were in the hospital at the same time, and I was wandering why I hadn't heard from either of you.

Best wishes the CULPERT is found that is making you so terribly sick. I know traveling has been really hard on you, so I pray to God to make you as comfortable as can be.

Have Char keep us updated ok!

Dear Songbird,

I am so sorry to hear about your predicament and unrelieved suffering.

It was so kind of you to write to thank me some time ago for posting the article from the AARP magazine about inadequate pain management.

I've been wondering how you are doing and wishing I had something to suggest in addition to consulting a specialist in pain management.

I do so hope that the facility that you have been referred to will be able to help.

The following quotation has helped me through difficult times; I hope it may you as well:

"If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come"

Thank you Char for starting this support thread for me! I had no idea how much I needed an extra boost, extra support and prayers until I started reading when this was started.

It truly brought some tears to my eyes and this thread has been helping me through a rough a frustrating week. I am just very toughed by the outpouring of support from people that probabaly understand how I feel these days better than anybody else.

I now have a pain management doctor so my pain is no longer unbearable all the time. I keep having break through pain, and once I hit that high 9 for pain I am slammed worse for days. Getting to a pain management doctor has been one of the most helpfull things for me.

We have frustrations over one doctor not approving of patients taking strong pain medicine. We are going to ask the pain doctor to talk to that doctor. The negative attitude adds too much stress to me and my family already having a tough time.

I am no longer suffering all the time, and struggling to be able to rest or get up to go to the bathroom because the pain stops me from moving. Sometimes that still happens but it's not non-stop.

The clot side is giving me fits and I am terriefied about damage as it has continued to hurt more and more and not calm down at all. Today we got me in with a vascular surgeon but its not for two weeks.

We will call on Monday to ask what I need to do till I can get there, and if I can be seen sooner due to the circumstanes.

I have trouble typing for long lately and am trying to lay still, watch movies, read, and listen to good music. If I have trouble typing alot here, I will try to make sure I keep updates coming through Char.

Right now I need a medical center that will figure out what is wrong and not ignore abnormal bloodwork. Doctors in my area are not wanting to deal with whatever is going on or even contact the medical center I will be going to, about what to do for me until I get there. We are unable to understand a doctor not doing everything they can to help a patient.

We should hear Monday on the date I will be going to the medical center. As of now it looks like October, but we are praying for September or even better August.

I think I am forgetting something here, but please know I take great comfort in everybody's messages and will continue to read the supportive messages over and over again.

Since we do not know how to make me better yet, the kind words, and prayers help me through. Thank you all SO much!!

Black Bird, my daughter had some real challenges when she was on a picc line..Air embolisms, one line just fell out and then the clot..

She had to take coumadin for a while and be cautious of activity..Mostly rest, if I remember correctly.

She also had a major issue with pain that even oxy codone did not touch..I think the IV meds did enough good that they knocked it down..

She also had to have an occasional valium to get her thru.

Good luck..these diseases are Hell..

Blackbirdsings:

PJ here, you don't know me yet but I am praying for you kiddo!

I hope that the clot dissolves on its own and that your days will soon become pain-free. How frightening for you to deal with all the pain and health issues you have...

I KNOW its hell to go through what you are going through, but you have lots of supportive, loving folks around you who are praying for you, including me. Know that the days that you are going through, although challenging and sometimes seemingly impossible to endure, will in the end, make you a stronger, better person on many levels.

I pray that the right doctor will help you discover your underlying condition and move you to a place of wellness as quickly and easily as possible.

Keep your chin up, and spread those wings, one day you will truly FLY.

Your friends in Wisconsin are praying for you.
