First I would like to thank everyone on this board for their best wishes, prayers & emails. You have always been there with your help, advice and support. Because of you, Greg is on his way to leading a "normal" life again. I am so very grateful to each of you.
Update: Greg has been seeing a new dr. for about 2 months now. He's on suppliments, off antibiotics (after 3 yrs),and is on a gluten free diet. His energy level has risen, his attitude has improved (whose wouldn't!) and his self-esteem is on the rise. He spent a week down the cape with his cousin and for the first time in years, he stayed up to midnight with all the other neighborhood kids and still felt great the next day.
His cognitive issues will probably never be resolved. This is a disability he will probably carry for life. That's ok. His physical pain is gone and that is a wonderful thing.
So for now it looks like the lyme is in "remission". Greg will go to college this fall "full time" with 5 classes. I need to break myself from this computer addiction and get out and exercise again.
So goodbye for now. I'm sure we'll be back as I don't believe lyme is ever "cured". My best wishes and prayers to all of you. Fondly, (and as always, confused ) Kathy aka mothergoose

Are you sure you need to leave Kathy? This board can be a lifeline at times, but....I do understand the need to get away from it. Sometimes its important to feel normal again.
Please come back now and then and let us know how things are going!
