We will try to set up the first meeting of the South Florida Lyme Support Group. The following four dates are options. If all those who want to attend give me a first and second choice. Unless anyone strongly objects we will hold the first meeting at my house Weston Florida ( easy aceess from Turnpike, 595, the Sawgrass and about 25 minutes from 95. At our meeting we can decide future locations. The four dates and times are: 1. Wed., August 23 at 12:30 PM 2. Wed., August 23 at 5:00PM 3. Sun. August 27 at 12:30 4, Sun. August 27 at 5:00 I will provide a lunch or dinner depending on which time is chosen. Since we all know that people with Lyme do not know how they will feel from day to day or when they will totally crash , I would like one other person identified to help facilitat the group or take over in case I crash. Once we get the goup going we can talk and decide about how it will be run and facilitated.
In the meantime whoever out there thinks that they will come please get back to me quickly. This group will be open to anyone with Lyme Disease and the care-givers who help take care of them, although I imagine most people will be coming from West Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. Can't wait to hear from all of you.

Hi 4lyme, I can do Wed. 8/23 at 12:30 or at 5 but think there will be less traffic earlier.
I wouldn't be able to make Sunday. It's too close to when I'm going out of town and wouldn't have enough recovery time.

Traffic would be much better on a weekday at 12:30.

Hi 4lyme, I can help facilitate, with a little guidance on a bad day, and I'm fairly sure the others would too, so don't worry about back up, k? When we get togehter we can sort it out and we'll be a core to begin with and can divide up duties and the like.
I'm pretty excited about this.

I told two of my friends with lyme about the meeting. I think one is coming for sure, and probably the other lady too.
We have meet a few times for lunch. It will be great to meet new people.
