I have tried some things that I would not ordinarily try if I were well, in order to get well.
I am sure we all have.
I thought it would be fun to share them with each other.
1. I am currently drinking wolfberry juice from China. (I do believe it is helping...time will tell)
2. I also am currently....when I think of it...spreading bentonite clay all over my body, letting it dry and then showering off. (Believe it or not...I believe that helps too!)
3. When I was looking for answers, a company sent me some kind of sea urchin frozen stuff to sample from Japan or China. I was to defrost it and then drink it down like a shot of slimy thick goo. (I just couldn't do it. Many people testified about getting their health back with this stuff, but I couldn't get beyond getting it done.)
4. I think drinking apple cider vinegar and water and honey is strange too. But, this seems to be more known by those with or without chronic illness.
5. Before coming down sick, I really avoided medicine if at all possible...and it usually was possible to avoid it.
Who would have thunk it that I would be injecting medicine in me IV or IM or oral for almost 3 years now off and on.
6. I also think the foot detox pads are out of desperation. (But, I do believe they help too)
It has been suggested that I see a bee person....sorry bee people, but I have forgotten your title.
I have yet to give this a try, but would if I had the funds. I think bee pollen is worth trying.
I had a friend who got her arm back that she couldn't move when a bee stung her on that arm. So, I am willing to give it a try. I thought she was kind crazy at first. But, the subject has come up several times while trying to regain my health from several resources.
OH yes. Did I mention the imu oil? There was a arts and crafts fund raiser across the street from me.
I purchased imu oil and it does help the restless legs or pain my legs.
I am sure I will think of more, but that's it for now. Looking forward to hearing what others have to share.
I think the most desperate of desperations was all the doctor's I have seen. I lost count at 35.
The director of the insurance company is sending me to an infectious disease doc (why ID..beats me...lyme is not infectious in general).
I am desperate to have a local doc who knows about lyme disease and will work with my lyme specialist out of state.
And who has the same goal I have...to regain my health.
This seems to be the most desperate act of all and so silly of me.

perseverance on the abx, although I am lowering dosage after 15mos.
Xango is helping myself and daughter. On it for 2 months. I am not selling it.

I think if you think something works for you, you should go with it til it doesn't anymore.
For me I think magnesium and using the rebounder along with my faith in the Good Lord above has helped me the most. Of course I did a 6 month round of abx. too. Nut

For this list, I guess one of the unusual ones is coffee enemas. First 2 or 3 seemed to help with liver detox, but next 10 or 12 didn't seem to do much.
Just thought of another good one. Slept with quartz crystals. Don't think this did anything.

long distance energy healing, with a program based on the principles of quantum physics. i know it sounds strange, but for me it absolutely worked miracles.

Virgil is using Mannatech products (Glyconutritionals, Plant sterols and Vit/Min), natural sea salt and homopathic preparations (Cat's Claw, Systemic Enzyme, HP Viral and a muscle relaxant).
He chose not to do antibiotics and is showing great improvement.

I noticed that several said xango helped them. did it help with just general overall well being for you or reversal of any symptoms? has anyone actually gotten over their chronic lyme, etc? any other experiences with coffee enemas? i have not wanted to go the antibiotic route either. does anyone have any idea why some people seem to get lyme and get over it and move on while others become chronic? thanks

Good questions. IF I am understanding my LLMD correctly, it is taking me so long to get well because I am limited on resources.
We do what we can with what we have.
I have concluded that overcoming lyme disease is 3 fold:
1. The antibiotics 2. How well the body detoxes. 3. Building the body back up.
So far, I have just been able to put the poison (abx) in my system for the most part and have not had the good stuff going in to help over time.
This is just my theory.
It goes out the window when I read the obituaries of directors and those who have the resources to recover.
I always wonder if they were adding the good stuff to their protocol too.
When I first dx in Dec. 2002, I tried to find stats for this illness. I have yet to find them. How many get well? How many stay the same? How many get worse?
How long does it take to get well? Etc. Etc.
I have read many different theories over time.
But, I have noticed that using antibiotics seems to be the poison (SP?) at this time until we find something better.
Looking forward to reading how xango has helped others.
I started on RED because the person felt it helped her get her life back. She was skiing when I talked to her. She went from being bedridden to being able to get out and ski.
But, I am sure it was not the RED drink only.

I"ve been able to get off at least 6 meds since beginning the mangosteen. [now keep in mind I had already gone through 4 yrs of treatment with abx at this point]
I'm no longer taking pain meds, antihistamines, Flonase, abx, neurontin, and Ambien.
Translation: I no longer have pain, sleep problems, or allergy problems. The brain fog is WAY better! Depression nearly gone! [still taking trazodone...but depression is WAY better]
I was able to stop the abx about 6 months after beginning the X.
