i am writing again to get information about people who mentioned that they have had lyme disease for over 30 years. because i thought lyme disease has only been around since 1974. how would a person be sure that they really had lyme if it was before that time?

Maybe you can't know for SURE....but the symptoms are there. Lyme was only "discovered" in 1974. It's been around for eons.

All I know is that I've had health problems all my life and my first known tick bites were at age 8. I received more bites every weekend for years.
