Hey everyone, I'm new here. Sorry this might be a long post. Anyway I've been having alot of symptoms for the past 9 years that suddenly came about. I've been trying to figure out what is wrong but haven't had any luck with doctors.

**Here is my list of symptoms all started in 1997 (except the throat which started in 2000)

BLADDER: Problems starting and emptying bladder, decrease in flow. Have to strain to get it out, pressure and pain in ureathra and minor burning and sometimes blood (happens like every 6 months) I go to the bathroom like 19 times a day now.

EYES: Blurry, static vision like the snow on TV (it's worse when awaking and at night) night blindness, dry eyes, mucus, redness around eyelids, tremors in eyelids, droopy eyelids, difficulty focusing, tight pressure around eyes & head.

THROAT: hoarseness, soreness, uncontrollable coughing when eating, white sticky mucus, throat tightness, losing my sense of taste, swelling, redness, some thrush.

JOINTS: sharp motion pain in knees, shoulders, ankels, hips, lower back, big toes. Pain comes and goes sometimes for just 10 mins to longer like 2 months. No swelling though. tingling in hands, arms and feet, also unexplain muscle pain.

NEURO: Balance problems, feeling buzzed (kind of like how you feel when drinking alcohol), fatigue, low energy, can't keep eyes open when watching TV at night, problems with concentrating and remebering things, palpitations, odd to say this but I basically feel like i'm drugged all the time.

HAIR & SKIN:
losing lots of hair on scalp, also on legs and eyelashes, rash type bumps and redness around forhead, cheeks and ears that comes and goes

The eyes, throat, bladder symptoms are chronic (everyday) since they have started. Now I don't remeber if I had any lyme type rash when it first started, since its been 9 years but my symptoms seem close to lyme symptoms. Now I was tested two times for lyme (western blot test) in 2004 but came back negative. Also was told I had a strep B infection in 2003 and now I was just told I have a bladder infection two days ago but don't know if that's related to all these symptoms or not.

My question is, if the western blot test comes back negative two times does that mean someone doesn't have it? Thanks.

Yes, you could have lyme despite the overall negative blot results.

You need to get to a lyme literate dr who is qualified to diagnose you based on symptoms-the whole picture.

See Seeking a Doctor here.

Also, Newbie links have some very good symptom lists to check out.

Best Wishes,
Char

NO. You were most likely tested thru Quest or Labcorp and they are VERY likely to miss the Lyme dx.

I would recommend Igenex Labs in CA. www.igenex.com

YOu didn't mention history of tick bites or anything. Did you have any? Of course, you could have been bitten and not have known it.

You might want to post this in Medical Questions too. Most people are over there, not in General.

here's some reading for you:

You may also need this, so you can get the yeast under control:

Lyme symptoms list compared with yeast symptoms

"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."

Five Steps to Candida Elimination:

1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.

2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements.
[e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]

3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]

4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]

5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

=======================
YOu may also want to get a copy of the test results. Sometimes there are bands that show up that are lyme-specific.

If your dr is not well versed on lyme disease [he/she probably isn't!!!] then they won't even know that some of those bands HAVE to come from Lyme.

If you have ONE of those bands, the overall test result may be "negative" but you have lyme-specific bands.....meaning NOTHING else could have made those bands show up.
