My general practioner is leaving the practice that they are in. Physician has been great, lyme friendly, becoming lyme literate and working with my lyme doctor. Dont know how long it will take for physician to establish their own practice now. Other doctors in practice aren't lyme friendly. Up a royal creek without a paddle now. My lyme is severe, too been on disability for two years now. Have multiple coinfections, neurological problems and vision loss. Just hope my doctor gets established independently asap.

I wonder if there is any connection between this doc leaving the group practice and being lyme friendly. Generally speaking, group practices are pretty hostile to anyone who uses their own judgement on lyme matters, rather than swallowing the Steere line . This doc may have been forced out.

Skater, can your lyme friendly PCP refer you to somenone outside the practice who is 1) open to leaning and be frendly about chronic lyme and 2) willing to review your treatment thus far with this PCP?
Hope she sets up her new practie soon.

Wow, Skater; when will this flood of events stop for you?
Did I understand this right? He's leaving the practice he's in w/partners, but going out on his OWN practice where you might be able to keep him? Sorry, confusing day here.
Wishing you the best. You have the list of Penn. LLMDs since we discussed this the other day, so check it out if you haven't already.
BUMMER! My PCP will retire next year, and I just got him trained right! I told this to his RN, and you should have heard her laugh!! She got him trained right too! LOL
