Hi,

I am looking for Moms who have lyme themselves and are caring for kids with lyme, too.

If you are interested, please pm. My e-mail is down.

I am a lymie mom and just found out last week that my son tested positive for lyme, after I noticed some increasing symptoms he had over the summer. Good thing I mentioned this to his doctor several weeks ago, when I had to take him in for sinitus, and doc decided to run some blood tests just to be sure!

I am not even sure if he got it from a tick bite or from me through pregnancy. Can lyme show up in a child 10 years later after birth??

Thanks Betty, for looking out for me and everbody here. I recieved a good handful of pms.

View from the curb-
Great name. Your view will change with time!

Moose-

I think that the answer is yes to your question.
I just saw a mom at dr whose son has had lyme 16yrs, but just diagnosed at 17yrs.

The symptoms crept up on me and my kids and we didn't get a diagnosis until my daughter couldn't get out of bed 4yrs later.

My impression is that you can have this type of scenario with congenital lyme or the other.
You may start recalling "little problems" over the years that actually were from the lyme.

Hope you get the answers you are looking for soon.

Thank goodness this disease is treatable!

Char

Hi Char,

I'm interested in talking.

I was Dx with Lyme in June. My dd that has been Dx with Lyme is almost 14. She got the bite & rash in the spring of this year.

I have 4 other children (and my husband) showing numerous strong Lyme symptoms, but 2 of the LLMDs I've seen want a positive test before they'll treat them.

The only LLMD I've found that will treat the children will only use IV infusions...that won't work on my little ones. That physician won't even consider oral antibiotics for them.

Trusting the Lord Jesus,
Nancy
