Hi, I am willing to coordinate this if no one else can do it. I am not working now and have time to help. I don't normally post alot here but I am a daily lurker and am still dealing with the effects of LD. I would need some instruction on what I need to do. If you want me to help, please let me know. If you would prefer one of the more-known lymies, I will understand.

Hello everyone!
Yes, I am still around. I check the board each day, but am mostly a lurker these days. But I haven't forgotten all my old and dear friends on this board.
Hi Melanie, thanks for remembering me!!! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!
If Julie wants to head Green Santa up this year that's fine, I won't be offended. I would just hate to see the project dropped, it was a very enriching X-mas project, very dear to my heart! Many families benefited from the generosity of so many here on Lymenet!
I am glad to see so many still wanting to help keep this up and running! Over the years the volunteers were so gracious with their time, hearts and generosity.

Good evening Barb!
It is so nice to see you! Where have you been hiding? Busy up at the North Pole?
It looks as if whoever decides to take on this wonderful project this year will have many elves

First of all, what are you doing up so late?? Me...I have an excuse! [sciatic nerve revisited....AAARRGGHH!]
Lady....We match up moms and dads who need help for their children's Christmas gifts with those able to donate gifts.
It's such fun and rewarding too!

4:50 is when I got up this morning, I have a bug going on now - maybe a touch of the flu.
I took nighttime threaflu and it made me feel funny but did make me sleep - but also woke me up early and still feeling funny LOL.
When I get sick with something "normal" as I call it - I have a hard time taking things for it, threaflu is the only thing off the counter I can take, but I just realized not the nightime one.
Anyhow, the Santa thing is a GREAT Idea, I would love to donate something, just let me know when and how.
OPPS just went back and saw 2:28 - that's one of the times I woke up thru the night and had a hard time getting back to sleep (even tho threaflued out)...LOL

Julie, Go ahead and take over this year, that's fine with me, you might want to check with Nan as well because I think she did it last year.
I did it for about 3 year run before that. You can do a search and see how I did it before. I have all the info in there.
Since you aren't working and have the extra time, it would probably work out better all the way around, I work full time and the project is very time consuming depending on the need.
YOu might want to start about 1 week prior to Thanksgiving and then cut it off the 1st week of Dec. so you have time to ship. Besides, you will burn yourself out if you do it any longer then that. LOL
Some of the years I did it we helped like 30 kids, I don't think there was that great of a need last year for some reason.
I will check in periodically, if you need anything.
Hi Melanie, you asked what I had been up to of late and I can gladly say " LIFE" I have been feeling pretty good and able to work full time again and keeping busy, although like I said, I always check in here, it's a hard place to leave.
I have my Lyme pretty well under control, and God willing, it will stay that way for a long long time. LOL Feel free to E-mail me whenever.
Take care -
GOOD LUCK Julie - I am sure you will make a great green santa!! Barb
If you have questions, feel free to e-mail me. My addy is [email protected].

Great! I would definitely begin by Nov. 13. It's always been posted in General and Medical, as far as I can remember.
Thanks for doing this! I can't wait!!
