Hi- I'm looking at the SSI website and thought I would be able to printo out the formsand complete manually. It seems that you can apply at your local office or complete the forms online?

Which is the better option? Is it safe to apply directly at the office with a "real person."

I don't want to hear ...well you DON'T LOOK THAT SICK!

Any opinions.?? I need to get moving on this stuff..been putting it off...

Thanks
Natalie

I don't know how you have been affected by Lyme, but my cognitive skills are majorly messed up. [dizzy]

In a case like mine I would suggest getting an attorney. There is a limit on how much they can get and they only get paid when you are awarded disability. [Big Grin]

Even with all the info available I still would have done better getting an attorney from the beginning. Trying to figure things out was just too much for this Lyme brain! [Eek!]

Good luck!

natalie, i sent you all my info earlier tonight for the pm you shared with me.

i also paid for my hospital, clinic records going back 15 years for each; very helpful when i prepared my detailed info that my former lawyer of 4 years NEVER did.

i sent you info to print off for your md appt. tomorrow to start building CLINICAL EVIDENCE for your case.

1st time i prepared the paperwork myself taking 1-2 weeks to do it if you've been to many mds as i was.

you have to list them all, all dates seen, meds prescribed, xrays/blood labs/mris/ etc.

that's why it's important for you to have YOUR own copy that i underlined and circled important info. Just note on your ssdi that it was YOU who underlined/circled things; they don't like it, but tough...I PAID FOR FILES I SUBMITTED!

2nd time local ss office took info over phone taking 2-2.5 hrs! [Frown]
