Feeling frustrated, sad,a little defeated and wondering if thing are going to improve or if this is it.
So, I thought I would focus on what is good for today instead.
Hoping others will join me with your entries. We read so much of the struggles we all go through. It would be nice to read about the good things.
1. I was able to take Rosie to the dog park this morning via the power chair.
2. My outdoor power chair is on its way down the hill today hopefully to be repaired.
3. A lady at the dog park said she thought they would be able to fix it and they most likely will bring it up the hill for me.
4. Excedrin continues to help with the aches and pains and brain stuff...well it takes the edge off.
5. I am thankful I have meds to take today.
6. I am thankful I have food to eat today.
7. I am thankful I have a stressfree, quiet place to live.
If I am able to get more done today, I will come back and type them in.
4:30 pm Able to get out for a short while in the power chair this afternoon. Picked up some detox tea and some kind of enzymes the doc wants me to take. IT did me good to get out and do OK while I was out if I kept it simple.

Hey...this is fun. But, I am easily amused.
IMANURSE....
I agree. I started purchasing Scott's large packages of TP with the large rolls in college.
TP is just something you don't want to be without...especially around your house lately.

One thing I'm thankful for is that KAM talked about taking Excedrin several years ago.
I tried it, and the combination of tylenol, aspirin, and caffeine not only helps headaches, but also seems to improve my motivation.
Thank you, KAM.

Carol,
Thanks, but I can't take credit for that. Someone on either lyme chat or lymenet mentioned it helped them so I gave it try.
I also had a in home nurse tell me off the record the key is to keep it in the system.
Of course, I also have had medical people tell me it is hard on the kidneys or liver and to try not to take it.
But, it is also hard on us to be in pain, have the brain in a fog and be bedridden. So, I will get off excedrin but not at this time.

It is nice to focus on the positive, but some times very hard.
I've started walking 5-6 days a week for about 1.5 to 2 miles. I call it my gratitude walk.
As I walk I think of all of the things I have to be grateful for. The walk takes about 30 minutes.
Some days I am just grateful that I am walking or the sun is shining or that my feet don't hurt. Silly things sometimes but it helps to affirm them.
Of course I am always grateful for my family and friends and for this forum.
Thanks for sharing. I am grateful you did.

a few weeks ago the message at church was:
1. don't take breathing for granted
2. focus on what is NOT wrong
i don't know why but putting it that way really worked for me and everyday-almost-i am looking at the world that way.
i found out a few years ago it really helped and i have been involved in some old posts on "the positives"...
anyone remember"what did lyme do for you?"
for me it's seeing a sunset-smelling a flower-getting lost in a book or movie-helping a friend-feeling proud of a child-snuggling with my dog-making chicken soup-sitting by the ocean-breathing mountain air...and dreaming about maybe riding again some day (horses). and-why not...maybe even dreaming they come up with a magical cure and i get to ski and surf and go back to work too!!!!!

Was able to take my black lab Cassie for a walk today
Went to the mall to exchange a Chicken Soup book, hubby bought Chicken Soup For the Grandparents Soul, but I had it, so I bought Chicken Soup for the Women's soul
Maybe we should write a Chicken Soup For the Lyme Disease Soul
Take care your friend Cassie

i'm grateful that hubby/my niece on his side stopped today visiting 45 minutes bringing us up to date on her side of the family.
she gave us our yearly photo calendar of birthdays/anniversaries of her/sister/parents side; hubby's only sibling.
so i'm grateful i only had to enter my side into the new, colorful calendar of family photos.

ipkAYAK,
I do need to focus on what is not wrong and not taking breathing for granted.
I do recall the post on what lyme has done for you.
Geneal,
This is good to hear that you are able to walk a mile and a half to two miles a day.
Cassie, Glad you and your master were able to go for a walk today. Good to hear what others are able to do each day while battling this disease.
Chicken Soup for the Soul with Lyme Disease...that's a thought.
Betty,
This calendar sounds like a great idea.

Great post, and I agree it's good to share with others the good that is in our life (rather then focus on the bad).
I'm doing well, active - breathing and living.
I too started walking again, it's so soothing to the mind body and soul.
I'm also back to my studys (realestate) hoping to pass my state test soon.
You see after yrs of dealing with Lyme and then yeast - no matter what I'm left with some stuff - one being my memory.
I never thought I'd be able to comprehend things well enough to actually go to school again, but I finally looked at it like this.....
Even if I have this problem (the spelling is off sometimes too) I can still do this and at least try. There are many disabled people in this world for many different reasons and they find there way, so I have too as well.
I went to school last winter and passed that test to go on to take my state test, so now I'm again studying.
Point being..
Walking again and studying again.
Also I'm thankful for not sweating the small stuff - living as stress free as possible - and just allowing my faith to carry me each day.

Today-
playing with my cat...
and still having my arm attached at the end of the play session.
I try to focus on the "cans" as much as possible...
sometimes it is difficult though when there are still so many "cants"
