Hi all. I have been very, very good on my low carbs and little sugar diet.

That is until......My aunt in Germany sent me a suprise package for Christmas, which I just received.

This box is filled with german chocolate. Yikes!!!

Okay, okay. I must admit I am weak. I have no self control when it comes to this treat.

I had one and thought "no big deal". I told myself that I earned it, being so good for so long.

Of course one led to two. Two led to three. Half of the box is gone.

The funny thing is I never missed candy. I still crave cokes, but.....

Now I am craving that german chocolate. I should just give it away.....but I can't.

Maybe I should just eat it all and be done with it. I don't even want to share it.

Shameful adolescent behavior from a 41 year old mother of two.

This is my guilty confession. I know I must be punished......but not until I finish that chocolate!

The guilty pleasure.....maybe I should just have an affair.

Nah....Keep the hunky man. I want my box of chocolate!!!

You are too funny!

Have no fear.....it is an anti-oxidant, plus it sends out all those healing pleasure endorphins!

In 2 1/2 years, I did only 2 major cheats, and body rebelled within hours. So, if you are not suffering, you are holding your own for this short splurge.

Extra probiotics, extra garlic (whatever), and luxuriate!

"Dark chocolate is GOOD for you," she said to herself as she bought 2 large bars yesterday (one with almonds which are ALSO good for you!)

I agree, once you decide to give in, it is hard to stop with a small piece-
I am going to try to make it last a lonnnnggggg time...Enjoy -guilt free!

Please be careful, guys. I just finished a week-long binge on hot cocoa. I swear it was better than sex! (LOL)

It took me a few days to figure out why I got hammered with my worst neuro-flare yet. It was the ketes fermenting the sugary-goodness into ethyl alcohol.

Moderation is key! [Wink]

Dear Aggie,

I only allow myself one piece of chocolate....per day.

I usually do my two mile walk right after indulging to kick start my metabolism and get that sugar moving.

It was a thoughtful gift, but I did ask my Aunt next time to just send me a picture of the family.

Unless.....(I am an eternal optimist)......I have conquered this Lyme thing by next Christmas.

Hope your feeling better soon.

So Aggie,

Could we speculate/hypothesize a correlation between hot coco and libido?

Interesting experiment !

Hi Tutu,

Glad to see you are back. Did you have a good trip and holidays?

Missed your insightfulness and humor.

I was really good today. I did not eat one. Maybe my craving is over.

give the rest of it away while the cravings are down...last year i threw out a box of very good chocolates because i knew i would not be able to control myself. this year it was xmas cookies.

you ain't that much of an addict if you can portion them off to one a day!!

happy new year!

Sorry Aggie..... I must disagree...... Chocolate is a close second to Sex, but NEVER BETTER!!!! [Wink] [Big Grin]

I do cheat once in a while (or once a month) on some organic dark chocolate but usually not a whole bar. My kids take care of the rest. [lick]
