TuTu, There was about a foot or a bit more. It got warm enough, just, to make a skating rink out of it,,,icy as all get out, and slick under foot. As well as the half or better thats left is harder than a rock. Not a good combo for whats needed here.
I JUST saw the forcast for the weekend,,,tommorrows the 'last' good day for a loNG while it is supposed to get down to 15-20 below,,,PLUS a lot of wind chill,,,highs for the days to be lucky to crack 0!!!
Anybody have to guess "I dont like this crap!!!" And it seems to bless us with more snow every day,,,just to add misery to the company list.
I want to move "south" for winters,,,and so do my 'old' bones!!! What do 'cab' drivers make in 'snowbird' country??? wondering old --just don--

I just keep thinking maybe this cold weather will kill a bunch of ticks, fleas, mosquitos and maybe some mold. Who knows?
Gone through a whole lot of bird food this winter keeping the birdies happy. They are so much fun to watch.

It is 2.7 degrees out at 1:10a.m. The local guys are having an ice fishing contest tomorrow out on the lake. They were out setting up the ice fishing houses on the lake today. Someone poked their face into my sons house and asked if he was going to be in the fishing contest tomorrow. He said he was and asked if they were going to be in it.
Their reply was no because they didn't have a ice hut. My son said you do now! You can use mine. He explained that he had a partner to fish with who had a ice hut so he didn't need his.
He explained to me that the mans brother had some kind of illness and he thought anyone who was sick should still be able to ice fish.
He enjoys helping people. sick

Well, the cold is descending on us tonight. They are saying temps in the single digits, and it's usually colder out my way than in the city. Then with the wind chill it will be much below 0. BRRRR.
I am walking my dogs on the frozen tundra. It's crunches when we walk! Our walks are getting very brief!

It's even cold inside here! I'm in an apartment for the next two months, until my new home is finished, and there are big drafts. I can hear the wind whistling through and feel it at the bottom of the French door.
I keep pushing the thermostat up, but I'm still freezing. Now I have to walk my dogs! BRRRRR!!
