I received this email and thought I would post it here.
I know Phyllis Mervine does a lot for the lyme community but I would need more detail. I have not clicked on the form yet to see what they need.
Or perhaps there are other women in the lyme community that we could nominate.
What do you think?
WOMEN WITH HEART
If you think you can't make a crucial difference, think again. This month were honoring "women with heart" women who have made steadfast commitments to improving the world.
Do you know a "woman with heart"?
Bonefish Grill wants to reward her! To nominate someone who demonstrates great concern for others through charitable initiatives, click below to Enter To Win. http://www.omagazine.info/womenwithheart/form.asp
Bonefish Grill will provide the winning entrant and the nominated "woman with heart" with gift certificates to a day spa. In addition, Bonefish Grill will make a $1,500 donation to a charity selected by the "woman with heart."

I thought of Melanie and Tin Cup and the lady or ladies who do so much in CA including Lyme Times.
Good idea about nominating more than one.
When is this due?
UPdate: Beginning 1/9/07 at 12:00 PM (ET) through 2/16/07 at 12:00 PM( ET
I need help with how these women have helped. I know the list is long and my brain is..well..things just pop in and out quicker than the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

Women of Heart...
We know you are out there. We need your help with the essays. WE just see your names continuing to be in the light.
The essays need more specifics.
It would also do our hearts good to have you list all that you have been doing for the cause.
And, it is a good cause. Is it worth reflecting on what you have been doing for a possible $1500 to be donated to the lyme cause?
If you can please start listing away opportunities that have come your way to help since being a women of heart for the lyme community.
We will then get those essays going and send them in today.
Thanks

too late for this year.
anyone have time to click on the link more if this is a 1-time thing? IF ANNUAL, we could make a note of it, and have 2 WEEKS lead time vs. 2 days notice to submit entries in 2008 !!

It's OK serendipity...it is winter...time for hibernation.
Betty, we will have to keep our eyes open for another possible opportunity...hopefully it will be more advanced notice.

kam, i totally agree.
we'll have to have these ladies write up what they have done so we can send it when the OPPORTUNITY ARRIVES AGAIN!
nothing like them having to do it themselves ... but they are the only ones who know ALL they have done for others in our lyme world!

It would be good for all of us too. We know there is a lot of work going on in the background each year, but specifics would really bring it home.
