Well look what I find, when I aint looking.
This is number 5 grandchild,,,so I guess I am sorta an old hand by now,,,my oldest being 11 now. Probably quite a few more to come,,,2 kids dont have any and two others have only one a piece.
Like the neighbor said once,,,"IF I had a known the grandkids were so fun,,,I would have had those before my kids!!""
He weighed in at a nice comfy 8#s so all was about right. His mother called me from the hospital about 6PM so it wasnt a long time till 12:30 AM or so when he was born. One of those 'storm' babies!!
Thanks for the thread,,,didnt know I rated ONE!!!being --just don--

CONGRATS GRANDPA DON on no. 5.
you didn't mention how many boys/girls you have.
Dad always had these expressions since he played cards all his life.
I have a full house: 3 kings and 2 queens; us 5 kids!
I have a boys basketball team of 5 players and 4 girl cheerleaders .... his grandkids!

Just Don, Congratulations!! It's wonderful to hear such happy news!
I'm blessed with 6 grandsons (9-17yrs) and 2 granddaughters (7 & 8). I'm fortunate to have all of them in South Carolina & 6 are living within a few miles of my house.
They're such a joy!! I hope your grandchildren live closeby.
