My daughter suggested that a collection of phrases be brought together as a fund raiser, and heck, we all need to laugh at ourselves.

To my son:
"good night little girl"

To my granddaughter:
"what a good little boy"

Just this morning I told both of my children to get into the tree.....I meant the car.

That wasn't even close!!!!

By the way I am a speech therapist and I used to make a living by talking.

( I plan to again one day!)

I always pause when I really shouldn't, leave the ends of sentences off, or forget what I'm saying as I'm saying it.

Last night, after flushing my PICC, I exclaimed with a sour look on my face, "My heart is beating!!" What I left off was that it was beating really irradically.

We got a good laugh.

When asking for the cordless drill my husband asked me to get, "the yellow thing that goes bzzzz" ???

When I finally figured out it was the drill he was asking for we both had a good laugh! He just couldn't think of what it was called.

Nice to hear others have similar troubles--we are lucky here, as it doesn't happen too often.

I was standing at an elevator, waiting for it to arrive.

My friend saw me and said, "Hey there, what are you doing?"

I answered, "Nothing much, just waiting for the umbrella."

The word "umbrella" seems an all-purpose word that flies into my mouth to replace other words when I least expect it!

Ahhh!

Well it wasn't what i said but what I did tonight:]

I made tuna casserole for dinner.

After eating half a bowl I realized I forgot to put in the tuna. My daughter had a good laugh.

I gotta hand it to my family & friends, who are just so used to me they know what I mean, they don't even bat an eye.
