Hello,

I would like to do something nice for those of us living near Providence, RI, and also something for ILADS and their recent appeal for funds to do some PR in response to the Forbes article.

I have a yoga studio. And I am also a trained yoga therapist.

I'd like to host an event for anyone affected by Lyme, their friends and family members to have an experience with Rest and Restoration. What does that mean? I'd teach a class where we learn how to rest and relax and encourage our bodies to heal using yogic techniques that are very simple, easy and most importantly of all relaxing. Afterwards we could have some pot luck refreshments. It would be a half-day event on a Saturday or Sunday.

I would take donations and then donate all of it to the ILADS appeal to support PR in response to the Forbes article and more.

Would you be interested? Please PM if you'd like to see this happen.

Karen

Iam not a yoga [Frown] fan but rest and relaxation yes. [Big Grin] This is a nice thing you are doing regardless of my opinion.
Thank you.

Hey treepatrol,

This might not be like any yoga you've ever done before. We will be lying about on the floor, with all sorts of blankets, bolsters and cushions to make us supremely comfy, and breathing in a way that is sure to make all the tension just melt away.

But it's still alright if you'd rather not come to the relax and heal retreat, we'll send you the good vibes with intentions for healing for all of those affected by lyme.

Anyway, you seem to know your way around here, and I'd like ot ask a question -- I've only gotten one response, and I'm pretty sure that it because the RI/MA people aren't seeing the post. Is there a way with subject line, topic, or otherwise to get the message to everyone who might be interested?

Thanks,

Karen

hi Karen, this is such a neat idea! thank you for doing this. I'm in northern MA and unfortunately can't handle the trip right now or I'd be in. I hope others see this and help make it happen. R&R yoga is sooo therapuetic and about the only type I can handle lately.

up for others to see!
