Is anyone else having problems with Lymenet tonight? It keeps going to an error page and I have to refresh it several times to get it to work.

Yes, problems today and yesterday with continual error pages. Just luck that this post went through, if indeed it did.

Someone mentioned it was a heavy duty virus attacking Lyme net. Thankfully, my anti-virus kept me from logging on.

Seems to be working okay....so far this am.

I sure did miss this place. I had lymenet withdrawal. It wasn't pretty.

Hugs,

Geneal

it also showed our pcs have porn on it and wanted to download FREE things to get the hundreds of images off of it.... DO NOT LET IT DOWNLOAD! STOP IT IMMEDIATELY.

FYI, part of the virus was a program that looked like windows, but was not. It offers to download programs to erase porn off your computer.

I got the Trojan horse downloader agent 3.J... It totally wiped out my memory and shut down my computor.. couldnt even start it back up!!! I took the computor to the PC DOC thinking my computor was shot!!!

Tha guy was briliant and got the comutor to come back alive!!He had a hard time getting the computor on.. had to take out drive and then got in.. He updated the Virus scan with the AVG and put memory back on the computor!!

I didnt have enough protection and would suggest everyone to update thier virus scans and make sure you have enough protection..

I had a hard time getting on this afternoon, but think it was the Antivirus system working!!! I thought I had it back!!!!

I wonder if that is why just Don hasnt been on!! I seen he was having some problems the same time i did!!!

I got the error message for like 5 days in a row or more. Seemed like forever. I "THOUGHT" it was my puter. My AVG 7.1 expired and when I try to install the new free 7.5 the puter wont take it. I thought NOT having this might not meet the requirements of this site. ALL other sites I read were A-OK.

So why, puter experts, would my puter take the 7.1 AVG and NOT the 7.5 AVG version?? Its a pain just to erase the stuff wanting to download it twice a day! It wont let me click out of it either!!being--just don--

Hi Don,glad you made it back on!! I am NOO computor wiz,I worked on mine for 6 hours and could not get anywhere!! I took mine in to a pc doc and HE had a hard time too!!!

I have a lyme brain, and most of what the Pc guy said went over my head!! But he did tell me he had to pull the drive to get into the computor..and then he was able to down load the AVG..

The Trojan horse is what i caught and he said it keeps downloading until you are out of memory..

That may be why you cant get AVG to down load..The Trojan wont let you,Do you have a PC Doc anywhere around you???

I dont even know where the hard drive is..so I cant help you fix it!! too complicated for me!!

I really thought I was going to have to get a new computor!!! But the guy saved it!!! It cost me $128,But it was worth it because it was driving me soo crazy, I was ready to throw it against the wall!!!

And I think that is where you are now!!! I think you told me that you live near Milwaukee, I have friends there, and my daughters Uncle lives there too.

maybe they know someone that is pc smart!! Let me know and I will call around and see if I could find someone to talk you through it!!

I hope you figure it out!!! I know it drove me crazy!!! Take care, Brenda
