I am not sure even why I am writing this. I just need to know I am not alone out here with this. I am so upset. I have been struggling for more than a week with back pain (which seems to be easing up) and exhaustion.

I feel shaky all the time, especially when getting up to walk and lightheaded. My family is so tired of this. I have no idea what to do - is this Lyme, is this Fibro.

The pain has returned to my left arm and hips - I haven't had much of this since the summer. I am trying to stay positive but the truth is I am scared.

I never got a full blown positive on my IGENEX test and sometimes I go into, "it's not really lyme, it's all in your head". My friends are perplexed and standoffish - wondering why I am not all better.

I cannot take abx and had started the Buhner protocol over a month ago, very, very slowly. I want to give up. I am so angry. I have closed my office. I am trying to do my best at self care. I feel confused by all of this.

Which abx have you tried???

Most ALL of us have wondered in the beginning of our treatment if we were doing the right thing....at least I did!!!!

Until you begin to feel better, you will doubt.

Every time you feel worse, you will doubt.

Every time your friends look at you funny, you will doubt.

Every time a new symptom crops up, you will doubt.

I'm so sorry you're having an awlful time. Are you seeing a LLMD? There are other abxs for lyme & other tick infections. herbs can give you the herx reaction too so.....

Fibro is a disease named for a symptom. So is MS. Unfortunate since Drs. never bothered to find cause people get stuck with lableing themselves with the symptom as the "disease".

Just a bunch of medical hooey. You got the positive test. Lyme takes time to heal...it affects so many symptoms, just takes time.

All I can say as someone here once wrote...treating lyme is a marathon not a sprint.

Try to get in touch with lyme support group. you may feel better.

I too had to stop my career & close my business cause of the complications. That sucks, but your health is most important.

As hard as it is, try and think of it as a "temporary pause" in your life.

I'm so glad you are all out there. I really think that some serious stress and pulling a muscle in my back may have a lot to do with this flare up.

Actually, it really started going after I went to the Naturopath claiming to know so much about Lyme and the buhner protocol - her feeling, "you have Fibro, not Lyme".

funny how I go about "labeling" myself with that, when of course I know it is just a symptom of the Lyme. Thanks for helping me see it more clearly.

I have tried 4 or 5 antibiotics, can't remember them all and have had allergic reactions to all of them. At this point, I am too afraid to take anything.

The herbs were clearly working on the Lyme when I was taking them at a higher dose. Right now I have backed down some from them but not entirely stopped to help give my body a break. I am also doing IRT and Bioresonance I start next week.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. You folks are great!
