I finally start IVIG tomorrow! 22 months after my neurologist first said "you need IVIG".
So, tomorrow morning hubby and I drive 4 hrs to CT for a 4-5 hr first infusion, and then we drive home and then I have long infusions friday, saturday and sunday with a homecare nurse.
All the supplies are suppose to get delivered via fed-ex this am.
===edit====edit===
the infusion co never made plans for homecare nursing..., , things are kind of in limbo. I'm feeling sick and confused.
Rested cried and did laundry today. Somehow have to get 2 Rx's before tomorrow.
Suppose to ride in the car 12 for a family wedding in PA next wednesday. Have no idea if this is possible for me right now, but everyone expects me to know. Of course, I would love to feel fabulous and go to the wedding.
.
I need prayers God knows how to do all this much better than me.
thanks!

I had a herx almost immediately after my first infusion so do not be surprised if you do also.
Ask your hubba to film the home care nurse doing the preparation for the infusion. It will be easier to follow step by step then when you need to takeover and do it yourself.
Good luck and I'll even say a few prayers.

are you doing IVIg? As far as I know, they will never let me do IVIg alone, because it's live blood product. I just will be infusing 4 consecutive days per month.
I did 14 months of abx before, so infusion is no big deal, but the IVIG, this is sort of big, because we have been waiting and fighting so hard.
I have been told that I may expect to herx and be very sore and tired. There are some pretty hefty pain meds sent with the IVIG. The end result though is improved health.
Yippie! I can't wait!
