Well I have been very sick for 13 weeks now. I havent worked in 13 weeks. I am not well enough to work and I am running out of money. I am only 28, but I have 2 small kids to feed.

I have not come to terms with the fact I may not be able to work for awhile or say that I am truly disabled.

The other problem is if and when I am Physically ready to work, I am not sure my mind can handle it. I was Likely bitten working at the animal hospital. Ticks are crawling around the place.

I have OCD and I dont know if I could get over that fact. I dont know if I want to risk getting bitten again, I havent beaten this episode yet. There is no way to prove I was bitten at work.

My questions are would I qualify for any disaility? I dont know anything about this stuff. I have been a hard worker since I was 15.

Once labeled oficially disabled can I ever work again if I get better?

I really only know how to be a vet tech.

Where do I start? Am I thinking about this too early? I realize I can barely afford my meds and co pays, so I really could use some $$.

Any advice is appreciated. Melissa

melissa, you have my newbie's links that i sent you. after the long symptoms list are around 25 pages of SSDI info in detail. read it thru.

NO, YOU HAVE TO BE OFF WORK 6 MONTHS BEFORE FILING, but you sure can get all your stuff together NOW so it's complete, thorough, and have ALL NECESSARY paperwork so it can be approved, 1ST TIME ON 1ST TRY!

check into SSI; go to www.socialsecurity.gov and look for SSI in margin.

read what it has to say!

TO BOTH OF YOU, print off the female MD's SSDI TEMPLATE that she gave permission to use for others applying for SSDI! the link is working now; was taken off for awhile!!!

BOB, i'll send you my complete newbie package since you've been off the board awhile to other new stuff! [Wink]

BETTY NOTE:

Look at the female MD''s DETAILED BACKGROUND right below this paragraph. Print off her detailed responses as to why she could NOT do her job, and then apply that to YOUR own job as to why you no longer can do any type of sustainable work now nor in the foreseeable future!

here is your ammunition to begin working on getting your SSDI 100% together so it's approved 1st time, 1st step! WHOOPIE!

thank you melissa for the nice compliment; i enjoy helping others to NOT REPEAT the hell i went thru for 5 hells in being approved for SSDI! [Wink]
