Now THIS is an alternative therapy
I believe in*)!*)!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was young and angry I had a mentor tell me, no, not kidding, to "climb trees and yell from them" (this was Santa CRuz, California, 17 years ago...) and to "get empty glass bottles and break them" as a way of "releasing negative energy".

Did I do those things?

Well, I used to be VERY scared of heights, so I didn't climb trees except once I tried to but couldn't do it!!! So I chose a tree and yelled from the bottom of it, just standing there- and it was interesting!!! And then I tried the breaking empty glass bottles against this concrete wall, but it felt like the police were going to come and take me away any second!!!
Seriously.

But I have to say, it DID help!!! Yup, it did, both the primal screaming and the bottle breaking!!! I only did each a few times because I felt awkward and embarassed, frankly, but it was helpful!!! Definitely released negative energy!(*)*!)*!)!*)!!
