Happy birthday. It's also my dad's birthday although he died 9 years ago but I always have happy memories of him on this day.
You gave me great encouragement last October and I will remain very greatful to you for that. FYI my little boy is doing much better since he started treatment for babs. I do wonder whether that was the cause of his temporary paralysis.
Your return to work has been great inspiration for lots of us. Hope it's all going well

Thanks, everybody, for ALL the great birthday messages.
I would have responded sooner, but I just drove in from a week-long trip to Canada---Quebec city and Montreal. There was a lot of walking, a lot of dinners in outdoor cafes, lots of laughter and good times.
How wonderful to get in tonight and see all your good wishes and your encouragement.
I'll write something more to each of you individually tomorrow, but even though it's late, I couldn't possibly read your wonderful posts without at least thanking you.
You guys are the absolute best!!!!
Andie

Thanks for the warm welcome back, Betty. When I first got sick, one goal I had was to get well enough to travel internationally again.
Canada was the perfect start to fulfilling that dream. Plus, almost everywhere we went, people seemed much more familiar with the complications of Lyme and the difficulties of treatment than they are here.
My health held almost the entire week, which included miles of hilly walking on cobblestone streets. I had nasty nerve pain one day, so instead of walking quite as much, we opted for a carriage ride. That was great!
In all, it was a fabulous trip, and I felt so grateful that I was well enough to do it!
