Hi all,

I am low functioning right now. Trying to take my mind off of lyme.

Thought I would come here and swap howdies.

I was thinking that if I were higher functioning, I would _____________ for fun ____________.

Mind you my idea of fun has become pretty simple with lyme.

1. One thing I would do is water my plants.

2. Another fun thing I would like to do is go back to that stream/creek I saw yesterday.

But, i would like to have someone with me that does't talk a lot and that I feel safe with if my health goes south.

I'd like to be able to take a hike up the stream for a short ways with Rosie off leash. I'd also like Rosie to come when I call and stay in sight.

That is a tricky one. I have never had her in the open like that nor around water so it will be a new thing.

I'd like to go about the same time I was there yesterday evening too. It was so much more cooler there. It would be great if I were to see the double rainbow again.

3. I'd like to read a good book. one that takes my mind to another place.

That is about all the fun I can think of for now.

How about you. What would you do for fun?

If I was able

I would work on my art and finally finish something.

I would start collecting rejection notices from galleries.

I would walk on the beach at dusk and night under the stars sand squishing between my toes.

I would go to a poetry reading somewhere.

I would take a sculpture class with clay so I had acess to a kiln.

I would go to art muesums and galleries.

I would go out and get the mail without having to take a break to catch my breath.

I would put a signifigant dent in the stack of books I keep intending to read and then replentish my stack.

I would design and build a kitty playground like thing for my cat.

I would go hunt for more dandelions.

I would like to be a fly on the wall of the White House and see what they are treating President Bush with.

But for fun, I would like to go on a vacation with all my kids. For the first time ever.

Okay, on the "Today" show this morning they had a segment on the beautiful "Yellowstone" national park. I live relatively close and NEVER been there.

Course I live closer to the Black Hills and havent explored them either,,,cept for the presidential faces. Seems like a great drive,,,just to look around.

And South Dakota Badlands,,and Custers last stand. And Grand Canyon,,And red rock park. AND redwood forrest, and glacier natl park.

I see a LONG vacation in my future!! Now I need somebody to SHARE it with!!

Azure and Don....I am on your bandwagons!

Don't know if I put it in my first post, but I would watch the shooting stars in the August Sky.

Best time of the year to do that.

Mother nature watered my plants on the ledge yesterday.

I was able to water the few on the patio but it was more of a chore instead of fun because I didn't have the strength needed.

I did drive down the road to find the verde river that is 8 miles on dirt road.

But, got stopped at the beginning...this is twice now.

first time a big truck was doing something which was holding everyone up so I turned around.

second time there was a sign about not crossing if flooded in the area I was just about getting ready to cross.

it was a big pool of water I was trying to decide whether or not to cross it when a truck with much bigger wheels came by and crossed it with a runnign start.

They almost got stuck. That answered my question. i turned around.

Another time.

Hiker,

I did a search for San jaun Islands. I was not aware of them.

Sounds great. I know at one time I was looking into Bellingham as a possible place to live.

Hope we both get to explore them eventually.

Heading up the coast..CA, Oregon and Washington are on my list of things I would like to do when I have the time, money and health.

San Juan Islands is now included in that.

Alaska and Canada too.

So many beautiful places to see.

If I was well, I'd clean the house. I am never really well enough to vacuum. So the house rarely gets vacuumed. :\

For fun, I'd exercise, as I was always big into exercise and loved it.

I'd just be extremely happy to feel "normal" again. I am so tired of being so emotional and sick and sad every day.
