Does anyone get bad abdominal cramping and or inability to move their bowels. I had to leave work this AM cuz the cramping was worse than the height of childbirth, and then I started puking as well from the pain. I was having looser stools since being on the abx, and now the stools are hard little balls. The cramping was enough to almost make myself and coworkers call an ambulance.

I would call your doctor. This sounds pretty severe.

Magnesium is a natrual laxative and many people with Lyme are magnesium deficient. The usual MO for taking for Lyme is to increase the dose until you get bowel intolerance.

Vitamin C is also a natrual laxative. I've had loose stools for a year because my doctor has me taking 6000 mg of Vitamin C a day. He wants me to double it, but I can't tolerate any more.

Are you doing anything to prevent yeast? Any GI distress while on abx suggests a yeast problem.

Ehrlichiosis aka Anaplasmosis is the TBD most responsible for bowel symptoms and it is often blood negative re testing!! So make sure you talk to your LLMD about it and are treated for it if you need to be- the treatment is Doxycycline- and you will get bowel herxes-!!

Kath, how much water are you drinking every single day? Colon must have water to function to it's best. Old stuff toxins on the wall of the colon will continue to be reabsorbed by the body.

Water helps detox the bowels and kidneys. You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water everyday. Water should be filtered, not chilled and drinken throughout the day.

Stomach spasms, GI pains are typical with many lyme people. But first thing is get toxins leaving the body as quickly as possible.
