I'm so worried and paranoid.

Am I the only one who gets really paranoid if a family member gets a cold or sickness? Because then it could mean possibly the beginning of lyme.

I've always been a worry wart, but I don't know what I'd do if my husband got lyme disease as well. It really, really scares me.

What should I look for in him? Like, right now he has a cold. Congestion, some runny nose, bright mucus, etc. Now he seems to be tired and run-down. I guess a cold can do that to you, but I'm still worried.

When should I really start worrying? What should I be looking for?

I need to stop worrying. I need some kind of comfort... because all I can think right now is that I gave him lyme disease. Augh.

Try not to worry ... only feel guilty about giving him your cold. [Wink]

If he starts getting Lyme symptoms, then have him get tested. My LLMD says that sexual transmission is unlikely.

There are many things you can do to strengthen your immune system. A strong immune system will fight off colds and other viruses.

Here are some articles.

Low Immune Function

Immune Support

It's been a year and a half since I've had a cold.
I took elderberry extract, which fights viruses, and I've never had a cold get better so quickly.

Getting enough sleep is important.
Eating well is important.

There are a number of supplements that support the immune system, such as cat's claw and beta glucans.
Dr. Burrascano recommends cordyceps mushrooms.

I think it is normal for us to be concerned about "Lyme" everywhere.

My neighbor, who has Lyme, had her whole family tested like I did.

Her husband, the only one we knew of with an embedded tick, was the only one negative via Igenex WB.

He also received 21 days of immediate antibiotics following tick removal.

Her concern is that with her whole family sick, child and parents,

What would she do if her husband had Lyme too?

My whole family has Lyme. Husband and children.

I told her that you just deal. Get him on treatment and go on.

Her husband is one of the most generous, unselfish people I have ever known.

Always handling things for his family as well as helping me and other neighbor's out.

My husband is not that generous of spirit or self.

However, I manage. By the Grace of God, I manage.

Although often my plate is often too full, I manage because I have to.

You would to.

This is not a disease or an affliction you would want anyone you love (or don't love)

To be afflicted with. (Except maybe the idiots at the IDSA or CDC [Big Grin] ).

All you can do is take one day at a time. Look for signs/symptoms in others.

Have them tested if for nothing else for peace of mind.

If for some reason the test is positive, then assimilate that info the best you can and go on.

That is all many of us can do.

Hang in there.

Hugs,

Geneal

Yes!! I worry a LOT..

.my daughter has Lyme and I worry about my two sons. My older son has a bad upper respiratory and sinus infection right now and keeps complaining of tingling in his extremities and lightheadedness...

I am loathe to ask his doctor to test him, because he'll just send it to labcorp...

My boyfriend has permanaent facial paralysis from Bell's Palsy and had a round rash on his back a few years ago...I keep bugging him to get tested..

My ex husband is only 54 and has a lot of short term memeory deficits ...I told him to get tested...

I hear your pain!
