Doxycycline and Zithromax are powerful drugs. So are Flagyl and Plaquenil. The Flagyl in particular packs a PUNCH!!
A double-asterisk indicates that's an important band!!
The "Ind" means indeterminate or 'equivocal' -- in other words, a weak positive. Kind of like being 'kind of pregnant.' Not dark enough to be called truly positive, but not really negative, either. With an antibiotic challenge (i.e., do antibtiotics a short while, then stop for a week and retest), her "weak positives" would likely all turn truly positive.)
The fact that she has these on lyme-specific bands like 39, the most lyme-specific band in EXISTENCE, is very telling!! You can't get that band to show up from any other disease in the universe...!!
You can go visit another LLMD, at great expense to yourselves, but I imagine you're going to get the very same diagnosis.
I'd avoid the rheumie at all costs. Same with your GP. This stuff is WAYYYY over their ducky heads!
Read all the newbie links, especially the one on understanding the Western Blot. It's pinned to the top of the medical forum.
Hang on, and good on YOU for being such a support to your Mama!!
