I am going back to work next week after being off for 8 months. I worry about this alot.

I worry I can not handle it with the pain and fatigue.

I am a manager. I understand some of my employees think I have been "faking it". I guess the fact that I had a stroke and have had four surgeries this summer for my groshong port was just for kicks; lol.

How do I get back in the swing.. How do I approach everyone that has been doing my job and I also want to make sure they realize that I have limitations...

I have become an expert at hiding/dealing with my pain. I took 2 years off from work and I was afraid to go back. I didn't know if I could do it, but I had to. Needless to say, I've been working again for 2 years. You learn how to manage. I remember the first couple of weeks back...I felt like I was back into life again. Sometimes it's hard, but it beats being at home lonely and depressed. Good luck! You'll do fine.

wishing you good luck!

did you apply and be approved for SSDI, disabilit insurance benefits?

if it does not work out, it's called ticket to work; you will not jeopardize yur SSDI status.

your doc. will need to spell out your LIMITATIONS to your job! i'd share it with manageement and your employees.

thank them for covering for you all this time while you were so sick. it was hard on them too. [group hug] [kiss]
