I parked in a public lot for my haircut in town and drive a stick-shift. I went in for cut and foil and came out 2 hrs later to find my car had rolled backward, made a complete left turn across the lot and ended up next to a construction van.
You should have seen the guys look at me when I got back in the car!
I did the same thing at the adjacent plaza of buildings; however, I was using the banks' atm.
This time, I got out and turned to see a man breaking as my little car was sliding down a slight incline. I was able to catch it fast enough, get in and put on the emergency brake.
Or the time I went to the craft store with my daughter and got so caught up in what we were purchasing, we got to the register and I didn't have my purse. It was on the floor in an aisle with picture frames.
If you want more????

Wow, wow, wow! I REMEMBER those days. I couldn't find my way back home from the grocery store and ended up in the next state. This is no joke.
Another day, I couldn't find my sisters house and the final one was getting lost going to my doctor, which is why they called my family to drive me back home since I was obviously confused, even when I finally found the place.
I use to have to keep a paper next to all my meds and write it down everytime I took a med, since I could never remember if I had taken it or not.
Looking back, all we can do is laugh and say, hey....we lived through it enough to talk about it. Atleast I now know what was causing it, since at the time, the scarey part was no diagnosis and you can think the worst.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and although this still can happen off and on with me, it really is WORLDS better by comparison with treatment.
Good luck and yes, it DOES get better. Stick with it.

I did get into a scary experience. I've been doing IV meds for a year and everything's pretty routine...perhaps too routine for my brain b/c I started making a lot of serious mistakes. One was really frightening!
I 'forgot' to bring the med to the end of the tubing...hence, leaving a whole tubing of air to go straight into my heart
Needless to say, I discovered my error when I started to feel very sick, heart racing, difficulty breathing, etc. My husband called a pulmonologist friend and he said to lie on my left side for two hours.
I survived (obviously takes more than a tubing of air to slay me )--but I learned I just cannot multi-task when I'm preparing my meds. That means, no talking to anyone, watching tv, or even thinking about anything else!!
I know it's hard when we're used to being able to do several things at once!
