thanks for info, didnt hear about that. how sad. whats going on, on this site. I thought it was for all of us to vent, cry, give advice, and support not judge. That is sad. So now we have to watch our words so we dont get kicked off or someone will not like our words, or advice and get mad and try to boot us off. How sad!

terri, Sarah was not booted off, she left of her own free will.
Don't worry, you are free to voice your opinions or experiences as long as it is done with respect. People are given warnings and guidance before they are kicked off from what I've seen. Even once they are banned, if they agree to comply with the rules, they have been allowed to come back, at least from what I've seen. If they refuse to agree to comply, they will probably not be allowed back.
Hopefully Sarah will decide this site still has value for her at some time in the future.

Sarah left of her own "free will" indeed. However, it also would be fair to add that she was frequently attacked for presenting a scientific point of view where one was apparently not welcome. She was always kind and giving to a fault, and devotes much of her time to lyme activism.
I am so glad she helped you. That would be just like her!! You can reach her at LymeNet Europe.

Michelle, I've seen attacks from both sides unfortunately but the majority of the people who were attacked (and some relentlessly) are still here. Not saying that it's alright to attack anyone but she is amoung a large group of people who have been attacked from what I've seen first hand.
In my view, the moderator did what she had to do to stop the attacks. Thank goodness they have stopped, at least on this forum.
I enjoyed her presence here as I have enjoyed yours. From what I can tell in reading this forum and the brief time I spent at the other forum, there still seems to be little respectful behavior coming from the group that left.
I certainly don't abide with the behavior of anyone who defames the character of a lyme doctor just because they don't agree with his method of treatment. It's obvious that many people have gotten benefit from his treatment and yet they endeavor to deprive people from seeing him AND they would like to deprive him of his income.
At this point, they have several threads started with his name and they are very disrespectful. Just my opinion but they better hope that he is not the person they are portraying him to be (someone called him a dangerous predator for crying out loud!!!) because they are putting themselves in a position to be sued. That forum is indexed by google. You can bet their posts will end up being seen by Dr. K at some point and since they are using his full name it is clear who they are defaming. I hope they stop their behavior before they get into serious trouble.

terry, i agree wholeheartedly.
i stopped over at lymenet europe because i missed sarah, to be honest. unfortunately i was horrified by what i read there.
open and shameless defaming of dr. k (using his whole name), a man who continues to risk his reputation and career by doing all he can to help very sick people get well. sound familiar to anyone? seems pretty reminiscent of all the attacks on ILADS doctors to me. and now you recent lymenet europe converts are perpetuating the exact same abuse on another healthcare practitioner (a lyme doctor, no less), because you deem his methods 'controversial?' i sincerely hope the irony is not lost on those of you who participated in the thread in question.
i was also horrified to read an entire post dedicated to defaming and making fun of certain lymenet members who espouse alternative therapies; folks who have been members here for YEARS, who have dedicated thousands of hours of their time to helping people in need.
i am saddened, and will not be returning to that site.
