Hi Everyone
Well I am at exactly 6 weeks of IV Rocephin and 4 weeks of 250 zithromax. I am trying to be positive..I swear I am. I have no idea what the new sed rate is since they forgot to run it but the other blood results were okay. I am sure the sed rate is still high so I am kind of glad I do not know what it is.

The neuropathy burning is still really bad...really bad! I had to take some more ativan today so I do not start non-stop crying. I could not feel my foot or thigh for a little while today...guess that is better than it burning? I also have more skin sensitivity than before?

The LLMD mentioned he might add Mephron in a week or two for the babs. I still cannot drive due to the blurry vision and I am just plain disgusted as usual. I just needed a little boost tonight. I look like a skinny nightmare with swollen eyes! I know 6 weeks is not a long time...but I have been burning for several months so it seems like forever.

Please just remind me that I will stop burning soon...thanks. My kids want their mom back and I want my life back. Gosh this really stinks!

monica, [group hug] [kiss]

i'm so sorry you are going thru so hell now with this. i've NOT been on the meds you mentioned so can't speak from any personal experience.

others will respond when they get a chance.

just remember, you hit bottom before you start crawling yourself out of that lyme hole you went into that is KILLING OFF SPIROCHETES IN YOUR BODY! that's the only good thing about this process.

how old are your kids? there are a couple of teen boards, etc. that perhaps your kids could talk to other kids, but THEY HAVE LYME also.

here's to a HEALTHIER 2008 which is starting in 3 more days!! hang in there! [group hug] [kiss]

Thanks Betty. My kids are 6 and 8. Now they are torturing eachother with Barbies [Smile]
I tried to play with them but I am in pain and it is hard. The 8 year old is on meds for Lyme also. She seems to be doing okay on amox.

I know getting to the LLMD was a huge step forward. Honestly I am just pooped...

Dear Monica,

I've never had IV antibiotics. I do, however, have a 6 yr old and 4 yr old

Who are also being treated along with myself and their father. [dizzy]

I can appreciate the "barbie battles" and such.

My children have started flagyl along with their zith and our weekends

Are really crazy both physically and emotionally.

Did I mention I am doing flagyl same days as the kids?

Hang in there. Sending you positive thoughts and healing prayers

To you and your family.

Hugs,

Geneal

Geneal, you also have your hands full with the kids...it is hard at times!

Thanks Sarah..I get Mephron on Tuesday [Smile] Can you imagine I am happy about getting another abx...crazy. I just know the babs is really getting me again and I want it to stop.

I have noticed that my pain tolerance has increased dramatically. If I felt like this three months ago I would have rushed to the ER. Now I am dealing with it better....although still crying a few times a day.

Hi Monica,

I was on the IV Rocephin too. Do you know that a side effect is depression? I was not aware, and it really hit me hard after being on it for about 3 months. Just be aware and be careful. Take care!
