Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed in July and am currently on my third round of antibiotics. What I want to know is if anyone has experienced the symptoms I'm having as part of their herx reaction.
I have bands of tight muscles all over my body. It's like somebody took a Slinky and wrapped it around my skeleton. It's worse in my arms and the pain is terrific.
Thanks,
Kentucky Betty

hi Betty! yes, I had EXTREME PAIN in my right arm from day 1 of my antibiotics for 20 months straight. felt like i was a punching bag.

yes herxes don't have specific time periods HOW LONG THEY LAST; they just do.

I had frozen ice packs or moist heating pad on me all the time; I hurt so bad.

fyi, later when 2nd llmd put me on all supplements and took me off ABX; PAIN WAS FINALLY GONE! good luckl. [group hug] [kiss]

Hi Betty!

What do you mean by your third round? Are you seeing an LLMD or are you on your third 30 day round of abx?

What you're having can definitely be related to herxing ... but if you're only being treated 30 days at a time, you need to find an LLMD who knows how to treat Lyme until the symptoms resolve.

Yeap Betty, I can relate. I remember when almost everyday was pain and more pain. I hated it when I felt like someone had a rope around both of my wrists and both of my ankles.

This bad guy would pull and pull on that rope. I don't know what it was then. Today I still have it but it isn't daily. Just the once a month type thing now for a couple/few days.

Today I know enough about my body to conclude that it goes with all my other signs that tells me that inflammation is the order of the day.

These are the days that I learned to do two a day detox baths. Twice my dosage of pain meds, and add iburopen 400mg in every 3 hrs. Drink tons of water. And anything else I've learned help my body clean/ detox the garbage. I use chlorella.

Iburophen or other non-steriods meds help. Tylenol doesn't help with inflammation or pain for me at all.

Sounds like you are killing off some bacteria. They tend to get very angry and try to take your body down with them when they are dying.

The real important thing I've learned the last few years, is to make sure your organs are working effeceintly. Colon, kidneys, gall bladder, liver, spleen and skin, they all need help during this.

Pam
