My husband is a fan. I'm sorry Tin, I just don't get it. I'm a real sports fan too, but I just can't get into the zoom, zoom, zoom.
It gives me a headache. Most Sundays when he wants to watch it, he goes into another room because he knows it bothers me.
Now if he is flipping back & forth between racing and two or three other sports, I'm fine. I even ask questions and try to understand it?????
But to continually have that sound, nope.
Pam

I just have to say that I was very disappointed when I clicked on this topic & received no punch in the nose.
I feel as though I've been deceived!
You Ms. TC are a great big tease!
Have fun at the races!

I thought that was because it is my wedding anniversary!!!!
I actually forgot the date until I saw your post.
My husband dragged me once to the Indianapolis 500.
It was exciting, but morbidly so.
After the first 70-80 laps we (the crowd) were actually looking for accidents to cheer about.
Enjoy the race. I get to go to dirt track races every week during the summer.
Not the same I know, but enough excitement for me.
Hugs,
Geneal

Well, Ann-OH. I was worried about you. I was going to give you a few more days, then post to see if you were ok.
I'd been offline... and in/out.. so hadn't decided if you were missing or if it was me.
Good to see you!
Map-- Yes, a good part of the race is on mute. That is also why I don't go in person. You can hear the roar miles away and there is no escape.
But I enjoy the skill it takes.. the speed and ok... the pretty boys too!
But like most boys... I like mine to have a mute button available when needed!
HA!
AliG...
I've never heard of anyone being disappointed for NOT getting a punch in the nose. You silly one you! Made ME laugh though!
hee haw
G- The dirt track? WOW! That should be fun! I use to go see the stock cars and enjoyed it years ago.
As far as accidents.. oh nooooo... I don't like that at all. I may be the ONLY one.. aside from families of the drivers and the drivers themselves (and owners) who DON'T want to see an accident!!!
I worry too much. But I do love the cars.

I am looking for another race fan to bet with me on Sundays. I have no one to play with down here.
I am a racefan, hence the name Tonysgirl. What drivers do you like? I can't believe Daytona is right around the corner....
I love going to races and smelling the gas and all the noise, not to mention all of the testosterone floating around. Ha Ha!
Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!

Ah HA! Looks like we've got us a plan!
I am awful at organizing.. so who would like to do that?
I also don't know how to do the contest things... so I just write down the 10 drivers I think will be in the top 10.
I allow one extra driver.. marked EXTRA... at the bottom of the list... to be an automatic fill-in if one of the cars has a breakdown and is no longer running at the end of the race. A substitute player, if you will.
Then the one with the most drivers in the top 10 wins! If two people have six drivers each.. the one with the highest on the list wins.
But.. BUT... that is just the way I made it up to amuse myself... not knowing better.
So I'm ready!
Can someone start a new post for the Daytona and we can start whatever game you want to do then? We need to have a deadline for putting our choices on the board here.
Maybe by the time the green flag starts the race? Up to you all.
Time to have a little fun!!!
Vrrrrrrrooommmmmmm!
And Tony's girl... sounds like you are SOS.
Stuck on Stewart!
HA!
And Huckleberry Jay! Good to see you wanting to play!

OH NOOOOOOOO!!!!
You are going to make me do the IMPOSSIBLE!!!
I have to PICK some drivers and leave some behind?
But I love them ALL! Oh noooo!!!!!
This is the hardest thing to do each race for me. I get so involved you'd think my head would explode with all the contemplating I do before hand... and...
You'd think the entire world is at serious risk if I mess it up!
I'm a total freak trying to pick the winners... cause I want them ALL to win and I love them all.
Oh noooooo.. what SHALL I do? Can you hear the whining in my voice?
OK. Plan sounds good. I am ZILCH in math though due to Lyme brain damage... so do you add the points?
More importantly.. will you be sure to count all of mine too? Correctly????
HA!
Actually, you all will kick my butt. I go by my heart rather than my BRAIN here.. so you all will be able to waltz all over me. But I'll play. I ain't no sissy.
Let me think on it. Hmmmmm.. who do I pick?
You'll know when I have made my decission.. as the fire trucks will be here putting out the fire when my head spontanously combusts from over use!
PS...
How about Junior. NICE race today. He needed it too cause he has had such an angry look about him for too too long... and as he said ... the race today was FUN!
Oops... question.
I can't make up my list without one of my bestest of the best... Mark Martin. BUT.. he probably will be part time and won't race all the races this year again.
He may be in trouble already, but that's when the fun starts! Let him take on Buschyboy, it's nascar baby!
What about a lottery pick each week. We just pick a driver and at the end of the season, the person with the most win's, top 5's etc will be our champ? It would require keeping track of the points though. This could be fun.

Jay...
Where are you? Time to come out and play!!!
I am so excited about picking these drivers that I could hardly sleep! HA!
Now, part way through making my list, I have a question. Do we get to pick a new list every week that there is a race?
Or is this one list with all the same drivers each week?
Please let me know. I am NOT familiar with playing with others... only myself.
`````````````````````````````````````````````
Tonysgirl...
Yes, he was looking good and was in better spirits last night than I've seen him in a long while too.
I like your idea too. Can we do BOTH?
If Jay's list requires a set list for all year... then we would get to have another race driver not on the other list to bet on each week.
Sounds good!
I will start a new post to see if there are any more fans here.. and/or if anyone wants to play.
I will be in no matter which way you want to run it. Tony was looking good for the shootout, but I can honestly say, I am not crazy about the hair, but he can still "drive it like he stole it!"
Sorry for the late response, today was my birthday and I was celebrating a little.
