Every 4th week (plus or minus a week) I have what I call fatigue episodes. Symptoms: extreme fatigue that usually relents in late afternoon or early evening, palpitations occasionally, loss of appetite, photophobia, anxieties, sweating (especially in the morning), feeling feverish but with normal fever, elevated BP. I've been diagnosed with Lyme, confirmed by Igenex, after chasing these symptoms for 22 months. In between these episodes I feel more or less normal. In the fall, before diagnosis I did all sorts of ND directed immune enhancement therapies and these increased the frequency and intensity of the episodes.
Question - is this what people refer to as "Herxing"? Or is Herxing something that goes way beyond this? Am curious what others consider their "normal" times vs. their "herxing" times.
Thanks! Casey Burns

casey, yes, this is herxing and many folks have it much worse also! depends on how long you've had lyme and/or co-infections, etc. the amount of meds you are on; side effects from each one. etc.
every 28 days spirochete in our bodies reproduce, or maybe that's not the right word; brain on vacation right now....
if you do a SEARCH found at top, click search
type in herxing MEDICAL TOPIC ANY DATE leave membership blank; hit send
you should get MANY posts/replies! read them; valuable experience expressed by other members.
if nothing; hit BACK key and change topic to BODY TEXT; hit send again, and you should get hits then if you didn't earlier!
this is how we learn during times when very few are on the board; bookmark those you learn the most from so you can come back and read again later. best wishes.
