I have a friend that is starting the lyme testing (she has only just started to beleive that she might have chronic untreated lyme) and is going with Igenx. She is classic long term lyme maybe from back in the 80's (or earlier she is a vet tech, horse and dog person)on the cape. All Dr's test locally and test come back neg. she has balance prob's, and so other many symtoms. My Q is which tests with Igenx are the ones she needs to have done. Local lab WB's don't say much except she is within normal limits! Thankyou all for being there for all of us! email me personally if need be but the Q might be of use to others.

Tests 188 and 189. Western Blot IgM and IgG.

Cost is 190.00.

Remember she needs a physician's order for it.

Igenex also recommends an antibiotic challenge of 28 days with ten days

Off prior to testing. Higher probability of more positive bands.

That is if she can get someone to Rx her some doxy or something else for 4 weeks.

Hugs,

Geneal

Yup...My blood work is currently with Igenex. Being tested for 188 and 189. I would also test for co-infection, test 5020. This is what my LLMD is having me tested for.

good luck
