Okay, sooo... I don't know how much more God expects me to take.

Today, when I woke up I noticed my picc line had worked out an inch within a half hour it was out another inch and half.

I went to take my shirt off and I looked down and my WHOLE picc line was on the floor! We can only suspect that the picc was hooked to my shirt somehow and was pulled out that way.

There was a lot of drainage and goop around the site itself this morning and it wasn't looking good.

Please pray this is taken care of quickly and we don't go through what we did last time... (Last time the doctor left the picc out and it ended up with me in the hospital and then eventually medically induced coma due to seizures.)

I don't even feel like this is real life anymore!

So for those of you who pray... Please pray extra hard for me today.

Thanks for all of your support, wisdom, and prayer in advance...

Victoria

Vic,

just a suggestion,,,can you request that they install a central line ,,,port,,,UNDER the skin so only when accessed is care required.

They make pics look wonderfully ancient!! No pullouts or site infections!!

Hope things work out WELL for you today!!

Victoria,

If your PICC had worked it's way out 2 1/2 inches on its own, chances are that you didn't make it fall out by getting it caught on your shirt.

Picc lines sometimes work their own way out as the body sees it as something foreign and gets rid of it.

I am saying prayers for you and hoping that you DO get a port given your history with PICCs.

Praying for speedy care and NO siezures.
