What if I just left my Lyme and Babs alone and just let it take over? Sometimes I feel like I am too tired to fight this battle (and broke).

I feel like I am going crazy!

Take a deep breath.

I can fully understand the financial constraints of Lyme.

My whole family is being treated.

There is no way I would give in to this disease.

I do get tired (19 months of treatment thus far).

I have just resolved myself to getting better.

Whenever that may be.

Life is always important.

Don't give up or give in.

You can do it....one step at a time.

Sending you positive thoughts and healing prayers.

Hugs,

Geneal

Please take a minute and think of something that makes you happy.

Let it settle into your bones and truly feel it.
Maybe even smile for a second.

It seems that many people feel the way you do that have Lyme. I know I have.

So many emotions can hit throughout the day. It is the Lyme and we have to remember that when those emotions over take our bodies.

We will make it through this and when we feel stronger and a bit of life again this will make us better and stronger souls.

Please don't give up. Keep expressing your feelings to anyone that will understand. Like this board, they are wonderful on here.

Sending you a big hug

if you do that you will only get worse.

my lyme went undiagnosed for over 40 years. i finally realized that all my symptoms weren't:

1. depression
2. getting older
3. how every working mom felt.

this happened when i felt so bad i took a few days off to rest and felt worse, rather than better, at the end.

long story short, i became bedridden before being dx'd with CFS/FM. got treatment for symptoms, but it was 2 1/2 years later before my lyme dx.

yes, i know the too tired to fight feeling, but it will only get worse w/o treatment.

i'm single and haven't been able to work for 6 years. my lifestyle has changed, but things are working out for me, just as they are for many here.

the sooner you treat, the better.

hang in there! [group hug]

Thanks for all your encouragment! I just go through periods of the day where I get paranoia and I feel like I can't take it anymore.

I really feel that the psych symptoms are the worst for me. It is just really overwhelming. I need to have my kids tested, but I don't have the $4k to do it right now. We were in a financially hard place BEFORE I was dx.

I feel bad for my kids, because they are suffering...not just from me not being emotionally there for them , but they have a lot of symptoms of Lyme and I want them to get better, too!

How do I focus on getting myself well while also trying to take care of kids?

To test your kids for Lyme, it would cost $190 each.

www.igenex.com

Test #188 and 189

Hang in there and take one day at a time. [group hug]

Lymetoo,
So you don't think they need the whole panel done? That would save me a TON of money! What about testing for co-infections? Would they already know they have those as well because I do (It would be congenital).

Hmmm... interesting point about it being congenital. Maybe they wouldn't need all of the testing.

I think it's a good place to begin and would help you be able to figure out what to do next.

I THINK the best coinfection testing is through Fry Lab in AZ. And it's MUCH cheaper than Igenex.

But do the Lyme testing at Igenex.

Some of the tests in the panel are overkill in my opinion. Nice to have but if you can't afford, then don't do it. The 188 and 189 may come back + and that is all you would need.

hugs!! [group hug]
