Has anything lost a job or felt forced to quit because their employer just didn't understand the ups and downs of Lyme?

Between the stress of the job and the early mornings, I'm near my breaking point. With no sick time.

Thank you. It's frustrating.

I don't want to lose my job. I can't lose my job - I need the health insurance.

But part of me wishes I would so I could recover without being under constant scrutiny...

Any advice on dealing with this would be appreciated.

Hi Cookie,

I lost my job. I Had to walk in one day and tell my boss that it was my life that I had to save, so I had to leave.

I applied for disability through my employer (Govt.) and through SS. I ended up receiving both and kept my health benefits.

I did everything on my own, no lawyer. Just made sure I had the SS guidelines and that my doctor answered each question thouroughly. I was approved on first attempt.

Whatever happens, make sure that you keep meticulous records. Even record phone calls and who you spoke to. This will all help should you ever decide to go this route.

Good Luck,
Feelfit [Wink]
