Wow Cathy..don't know about that shock thing.
I also know that I was really frustrated for a long time because I was not able to get out and about. So hang in there.
Friday pm....10 min loops with a brief rest half way.
Also sat in camp chair near car and let Rosie run and play for a while. Just good to be out.
Noticed two flags in town are flying half mast.
Haven't checked the post office.
Guessing it is to honor those dying in the war.
One is at a person's home and the other is at a private business in town.

My son just got back from college and she decided that was a better use of her time. How cute!!
Kam... I at least got to enjoy my mom's bird feeder while she was in assisted living. We did lots of bird watching together.
No worries about ticks or mice since it was just outside her window.. no doors or anything.
Cathy... That's wonderful about your trip!! YEA!!

May 9th:
Wow....I am just so far behind. I've lurked around the boards, but have to admit that I have not been thinking as clearly as I would like this week, so haven't done all that much posting.
Even more, I wasn't getting in much walking, so I didn't want to come here YET AGAIN and say, "Still not walking", so I've just been laying low.
But I did get up and about today. Some for our NH support group with other lyme patients went to see the Governor sign a prolamation for May being Lyme Awareness month in the state of New Hampshire.
I had said I was going, even if it would mean a cane, walker or whatever, but I got from where we parked the car, down two city blocks to the state house on my own. Did need assisantance up and down the stairs and then did the elevator inside, but I WAS moving.
Then walked the two city blocks back. Had a limp going back and kept getting that shock feeling going down to two of my middle toes in my left leg. Walking sometimes aggravates this shock.

May 6th: With the new cast on have started walking again.
Sunday just 3/4 mile.
Monday and Tuesday a mile and a half each day.
Thank God it's not to hot here yet so no sweating into the cast problems. Yeah!!!
May 8th: Didn't walk Wednesday but me and Rocky did our 1 and a half mile today. Beautiful this a.m. still cool and everything so green.
Bob
(Thinking of putting Bob here as he has been walking for quite some time now...only discovered this thread recently)
May 6th:
I average 4 miles a day, I take a 3 mile walk after lunch, and 1 mile to walk my dogs at night.
So 28 miles a week,
that wasn't the case 6 months ago.
I still can't wait to play racquetball regularly, I use to play about 12 hours a week.
But now that I've been walking I can't see giving that up either.
Walking gets me outside, it's meditative.
However, I'd love to share stories with all of you as we walk together.
Welcome Bob!!
May 6th: Only a mile today, Had some work to do and like tutu had to go see cranio-sacral therapist.
May 7th: 3 miles at lunch today, great day for it.
Sun was high in the sky. The path I taking is lightly wooded.
I'll see red foxes on occasion, some deer and lots of birds. I meditate quite often when I walk there.
I'm on the sixth floor I usually take the stairs after a walk. Today I ran up the stairs.
When I got home another mile as my two weiner dogs pretended to be sled dogs.
May 8th: it rained so I missed my lunch time walk but walked about a mile after work.
May 9th: I walked 3 miles at lunch in the rain with an umbrella.
May 9th: Walked another mile with just one of the wieners after work.

MAY 8TH: I walked another mile yesturday....
... it seemed easier.....but I still have that darn leg/hip nerve pain....wish it would stop..
MAY 9TH: I walked another mile on Wednesday and Thursday....if the pain would ease up a bit I know I could do more....this kind of pain takes so much out of me...its exhausting....
but I'm glad for what I am able to do right now....

Didn't hear from Ali this week. Hope you are doing OK. We are routing for you too.
I know there were times when just getting out of the house and finding a quiet place to recline were not possible for me in the past.
