A few days ago I discovered that my dog has ticks. At the same time I found 2 bites (one on my back and one on my side). They are very itchy, and I've been scratching them like crazy (anti-itch medicine doesn't help much). The 2 areas are round and red - possibly from the irritation from scratching - or could be forming a ring. I don't have any other symptoms of Lyme Disease but am very worried.

It is hard to say what your bites are from. Could it be fleas?? Their bites are usually itchy. the other thing is you could go to a doctor and tell them you have seen tiks and you think yu got bit.

Hopefully they will give you some antibiotics.

I would do this asap.

I am not a doctor but that is my opinion.

My "bites" were red, round, not too large & very, very itchy. At the time thought of them as mosquito bites gone bad. [bonk]

About a week or so later I began to feel like I had "water on the knee," and other symptoms started-such as blurred vision-

Even with the classic symptoms took me awhile to put 2 and 2 together.
Definite lack of public awareness here in an supposedly unendemic area of a highy endemic state!

If you haven't actually seen a tick on you stay aware & watchful of any unusual symptoms-take a picture of the rash in case you need it down the line.
Hope all is well.
