Has anyone ever purchased antibiotics online?

I was thinking of purchasing some antibiotics online just in case my PCP won't extend my antibiotics use until my LLMD appointment on July 20th.

Seems pretty easy to get the stuff online all over the place and just wanted to know if anyone has ever done this before.

Member "groovy2" said he has ordered from www.medsmex.com several times. No problems.

Perhaps you can find others if you're afraid of meds from Mexico.

Which antibiotics? According to my surfing, some are worth it and some are not.

The RX from India tends to fairly reliable. It is the same as many generics you get from your local pharmacies, like Dr. Reddy's. It may take two weeks to arrive if you actually order on line from India.

You can Google for Offshore pharmacies.

The RX from Chinese companies tends to be a bit suspect.

Some folks get a dehydrated bicillin substitute online from Africa at a price considerably lower than you can get in the US.

You can get American made Doxy and Metronidazole (Flagyl) made for fish online without a prescription.

These fish antibiotics are the same as the human stuff, believe it or not. Of course I'll go on record saying I would not tell you to do this because it is illegal.

Keep in mind that long term use of antibiotics can raise your liver enzymes, and that can kill you without warning.

You need to keep close tabs on your enzyme levels, instead of randomly self-treating without a doctor's care.

On the other side of the coin, you don't want to stop antibiotics prematurely without continuing some kind of aggressive treatment, or you risk growing super bugs.

Good luck, and I wish you very well!
